My baby latched on perfectly an hour after my c- section 12 days ago, but since then I have had terrible nipple pain, cracking, blistering, etc. I can't get her to open her mouth wide enough during latching. I am seeing a lactation consultant today, but I am wondering if the hydrocodone I've been on for the incision pain is affecting her latch on?
Fortunately, I am now done with the pain meds - still taking advil, though.
