Will baby ever do anything other than nurse?

Okay this is number 2 for me but with dd1 I eped. DD2 is 6 and half weeks old. BUt all she seems to do is nurse and sleep. I can't put her down and she only wants me to hold her. Porr dh can only hold for a couple minutes. I know she is still little, but I thought by now things wold have calmed down a bit. Is there light at the end of this tunnel? It is also hard for dd1 because she wants attention too and I always have to feed or hold dd2. I can't cook, eat, clean, go to the bathroom. It sucks.

My first was like that. It must be so much harder for you when you have another lo to look after as well.

With my first, her feedings sped up and were more spaced out when she was about 3 1/2 months old. She became much more content then as well.

This is just what some of my friends & I were discussing the other day! I wish everyone talked about how much *many* babies need just to be held & nursed during their first weeks. It is such an adjustment when you aren't really prepped for it!

Hang in there! Pretty soon this baby will be so interested in her older sister's antics that you'll wonder if she was really ever this attached to *you*!

don't focus on a number if you set an expectation you cannot control you will be dissapointed and that is likely to create some form of resentment.
Instead say to yourself i will do this for as long as she needs it.
My twins (baby 2&3) where still nursing every 45mins at 5 months. suddenly at 6 months this dopped to every hour & half. I can barely remeber the first 6 months because all they did was nurse day & night & I had ds1 to care for.
its tough when you are in the midst of it but it will change maybe not when you want it but it will....
