how old can u still use BBLP?

I am wondering how long our BBLP will last-meaning around how old (approx.) DD will be when we may need to buy something else for her because she will be too big for LITTLE potty.

thanks

My 2.5yo still likes to sit on it sometimes.

You could move to a seat reducer on the big potty if the bblp feels too small.

We kept it in our car when my daugher was almost 2 when she went through a "I refuse to sit on public toilets" phase. (luckily it was summer!) She could probably sit on it now at 2.5 in a pinch, but she refuses to sit on the baby potty that her 3 month old bro sits on haha.

I have used it while pg , we keep it in the car and have a large car with tinted windows so EVERYONE uses it. 13, 10, 7, 5, 2 1/2, 10 months so ours gets tons of use. At home we have bblp, the larger bjorn, and a insert and of course we all use the big toilet at home but in the car the bblp is a life saver.
We have definately gotten out moneys worth out of that thing.

I would imagine that a fairly big kid could use it as long as they maintain their ability to squat that low. My oldest daughter used hers well past her 3rd birthday.

SOOO many times I have considered using it when our bathroom is being occupied for too long. Now I know I'm not alone!

Somewhere around 1.5-2 years old, my dd's poops started to get too big to fit in there without touching her bottom...she did NOT like that!

wow. never had that problem those must be some really big poops. I guess at that point you can just have them squat over it if they need to.

My daughter used Little Potties almost every day at age 5. She's a normal sized kid, she was wearing size 4 and 5 clothes.

We also have a seat reducer for the toilet and that got plenty of use as well.

I don't think you'll need to buy another portable potty after the Little Potty - they are amazing!

my son went right to the big potty after the BBLP. Around 22 m or so? He has good balance (LOL) so we never needed a seat reducer or anything, just a step so he could get up there.

oh- editing to add- he totally used it in the car this summer at 4 1/2

i keep one in the car and in a pinch my 6 year old has used it, as well as my big-for-his-age 4 yo.

i do find that for older/bigger toddlers that mine were a bit more comfy on the Once Upon a Potty, and it's a lot harder to tip over and spill, which i appreciate when they are in the phase of wanting to take themselves but not yet very good about getting on and off. i have two of those and 2 bblp's and i prefer the OUaP once they're about 9 months old for that reason. but like i said, the bblp's work just fine and i wouldn't necessarily run out and buy something new if i were you - i actually had the OUaP first (it was the little potty i bought when i started EC'ing DD1 at 9 months of age) and the second one was a hand-me-down from a friend when her DS was done with PL'ing.

My 2.5 yo still uses it all the time.

My DS is 3.5, and he can still use it in emergencies in the van. He is almost too big for it, but it's great to have on hand if he has to poo and we either can't use the woods or find a public bathroom when we're out.
