I'm preparing for the birth of my first babe, and sewing my own AIO cloth diapers.

I have No idea how to wash these?? Hot vs cold water? Detergent?

Should I soak them? Or leave them in a dry pail? What do I put in the wet vs. dry pail? Do I NEED to use bleech?

I hope to hang dry most of the time.

Help me,
what do I do?

what kind of fabrics did you use? that will help us be more specific, but my general routine looks like this:

cold rinse with 1/3 scoop country save. 2 hot washes (or one hot wash, one hot rinse, but I don't have a hot rinse setting so if i forget to catch it and spin it out, then it ends up being the whole wash cycle). dry on medium.

Here's a list of diaper friendly detergents. Natural fibers are usually more forgiving than synthetics, but everybody seems to like something different!

I use a dry pail. if you are ebf'ing, the poopy diapers can just get tossed in without rinsing. Easy peasy.

Good luck!

THanks for your reply!

I'm using mostly flannel with some fleece soaker pads and PUL
