Max number of subscribed threads?

Is there a maximum number of threads a member can be subscribed to? (Better known as, should I be bothering to periodically clear old threads out of my subscribed threads list?)

I don't believe so. You shouldn't need to clear them out since the older threads are locked.

I've always wondered this...I'm subbed to a few thousand

Not ALL the old threads are locked- are they? I know that threads get locked when they get too big, but do you also "archive" all the old threads periodically, even the ones that got about 3 responses before dying a natural death?

I believe all threads are locked after 6 months.

Threads are locked after six months of no activity. A moderator can reopen any thread if it is needed.

We did need a way to close the old threads but I realize this can also cause a problem if someone needs to edit for privacy reasons. If someone is having such an issue I would encourage them to pm an admin or a mod so that can be taken care of.

I'm also worried about this because I heard, if you exceed your posting, your account will be deleted. I am so interactive and loves responding on posts. I just want to always maximize my stay in this forum. Wish there is no limit.
