Prefold Recommendations? Warnings?

Does anyone have a praticularly favorite Prefold they would recommend or are they really about the same? I'd like to stick with one with less sizes to save on cost if possible....
also, any that someone would NOT recommend for any particular reason?
Thank you.

Most websites that sell infant/premium sizes are all the same supplier. The unbleached indian are the softest IMO. Infant size fits from birth to about 4 months. Premium size fits until potty for most kids. There is a toddler size but not every baby needs it.

I'm really seriously loving the prefolds that comes with the econobum package they are a one size prefold (think infant sized through premium) siz layers through out the quilt up nice are VERY assorbant yes they only come in the kit so you'll get the covers as well (whih I'm also loving).

I use premium chinese prefolds and I'm pretty happy with them. "They" say that chinese prefolds are a bit more durable, but indian prefolds are a bit softer. Either will work fine!

I got the newborn size for ds2 and I"m glad I did. He was 7lb3oz at birth and I feel like the infants would have been huge on him. But many people use the infant size right from birth. You just have to fold a little more. My ds2 is now 15 lbs and 11 wks, and we can baaaarely snappi the infant size. We're already switching to regular. Depends on your baby. If you tri-fold rather than snappi, you'll be able to stay in each size longer.

You'll probably be fine with just infant and regular premium. I've been fine without having all the extra sizes.

God bless you and your new babe on the way!

We like our unbleached Indian and Chinese. I honestly don't see a difference between the two.

Love my Indian prefolds. I have infant and regular (4x6x4). They have been through 4 kids and are still going strong.

I also have some GMD ones. I like those a lot too, but the Indians are softer & trimmer.

Am I the only one with huge toddlers and had to buy the toddler size? They are huge but they work (I could hardly snappy a premium on my baby this morning..... Maybe with a toddler snappy though...

I eventually used toddler on my first for the width but not the length I actually trimed mine. The GMD and diaper rite prefolds offer a better width but without the excess length.
