Does anyone else's LO do this...?

NAK.
So, the past week Rowan has been having one big (huge) spit-up every day. She doesn't usually spit up, maybe a couple of little ones at night, but every day at no specific time, she'll just start to gag. Then up it comes, in waves, out her nose and everything! I just hold her upright until it's over, but usually there's a big pool down my shirt and into my lap. It looks to be 3-4oz, no joke. I didn't even think their bellies could hold that much at 3-4 weeks, but apparently so.
It's so weird. And it happens every day now.
Thoughts?
TIA!

Katie does this too. Our ped says that it is from air getting trapped under the milk - the pressure builds up and causes it all to come out. I've been stopping in the middle of her feedings to burp and it seems to help...

Nora is not a big "spitter-upper" either but she will do this once in awhile too. I think it happens when she's either been comfort nursing and her tummy is just plain full or when she gets an air bubble. Yesterday she spit up in the evening when I was burping her and it landed down my back, into the waistband of my pants and even into my underpants! Mostly it's discouraging because it feels like we have to start the feeding all over. I agree with the PP that I probably should try to burp more often and that might help.

Rayner has done this 3 times now. It's crazy to see how much seems to come up during that time. I really think he does it when he over eats.

Gavin has only had a *big* spit up once, but it was impressive, splashed on the floor even! Usually his spit ups are more typical, a bit of curdled milk or a moderate amount of runny milk, depending on how close to finishing a meal it's been.

Try to see if you notice a pattern...is it always the same time of day? After a particular feed? Maybe right after nap when she wakes up HUNGRY, or maybe right after playtime when she might have more air in her tummy? As long as it's just one time, and she's otherwise happy/healthy/gaining weight, then it's not a problem, just beware that you need to have a clean outfit available at all times!

Okay, so I've been looking for a pattern. She's not fussy, she basically eats and sleeps all day with one or two quiet alert periods, usually first thing in the morning and around ten p.m. When she's not fast asleep or alert, she's cluster feeding. The spitting up usually happens after her first big feed of the morning (she sleeps for four/five hour stretches and only wakes to nurse briefly once or twice, so she gets pretty hungry) or right before she goes down for the night. I think she must just be overextending her little tummy, either by gulping or nursing too much for comfort. Last night after I put her in the cradle, I heard a "splat" on the floor and she had puked right over the side! There was so much! At least she was kind enough not to get any on the sheets, lol!
I'll try burping her while she nurses, maybe that will help slow her down a bit too.

Also, I noticed that when she nurses, it's started to pinch sometimes and I can hear her tongue unlatching and the air kind of 'snapping' as it happens. She's still managing to get plenty of milk because I have a strong letdown, but I can't help but wonder what's pulling her tongue off with every suck. The only time it doesn't happen is if I can get my nipple wayyy far back in her mouth, but then sometimes she gags so I'm just trying to play it by ear. Who would have thought nursing could still be confusing with a second baby
Anyway, thanks for the advice, I will heed it!

Could she be tongue-tied? Have her checked by someone very knowledgeable as some ties are really hard to diagnose.
