Jack [my maiden name as his middle name] came into the world at 5:05pm Saturday the 24. 8lb 9oz. Was able to have my homebirth but his head got wedged in my birth canal a funny way and the very quick labor soon turned into just over two hours of pushing and many positions to get him out. I'm damn sore but we're both doing well. Concerned about seemingly not producing any colostrum or milk, so I'll have to talk to the MWs when they come over tomorrow.
UPDATE: he has jaundice already at two days old. I have a nasty internal tear that we're trying to heal. And we're both having problems with latching and nursing which is probably adding to the jaundice. It's all making me very sad right now
