ds reacting to the dairy in my diet - should i also cut the high vit butter oil?

ds's colic seemed far worse if i had eaten my raw cream or milk, i've now cut it out and also cut out cooking with butter - which is killing me because nothiing tastes nice anymore!! (i always fried eggs, steak etc in butter - now i can't eat these foods because i can't cook them). because of this my protein consumption has decreased which isn't good - but i can't bare eggs if they aren't with butter, and i'm not very keen on the taste of coconut oil in cooking.
i have also cut the high vit butter oil - but i was wondering if this might be ok because it is oil? sorry if its a stupid question! if i can't have the butter oil is it worth me still taking my fermented CLO? will it still be beneficial nutriionally without the HVBO?
being dairy free is so difficult - i really miss my cream!! - but the nights that i had eaten it ds seemed to be in agony.

First take it ALLLLLLL out for a couple weeks to make sure you're at baseline (no symptoms) then you can trial the butter oil to see if she can tolerate it.

I love eggs fried in coconut oil. It tastes so buttery to me. And steaks don't need butter. Grill it. Broil it. There are many ways to make meats without butter.

thanks for the repliy, i will stay off the HVBO but should i continue to take teh CLO? or is it not going to be worth having it now?

I'm fairly sure the CLO is still worth taking. Yes, there's a synergistic effect with the BO, but... it's still a good food on it's own.

Have you tried frying your eggs in bacon fat?

And, just to give you hope... I'm allergic to dairy, but can handle butter just fine.

Ya, you need to take it all out and then try it.

If you cut it out for a while and re-introduce and it's a problem, you could go with Thorne's synthetic K2 supp. Not the same, but it's not dairy-derived, and we're happy with it.

For now, you can try to focus on other, non-dairy foods that Price recommended, um, egg yolks, fish eggs, I think pastured animal fat in general maybe some other odd organs that I forget about.

eta: and being a mammal, the better your diet is, the more you should _make_ for your nurseling.

eta2: I'm not sure what people need to eat to make K2, some groups got a lot through diet, I wonder how it works in mammals who don't eat animal products, and is it the same in people? I mean--would eating more K1 increase the amt of K2 we make, but some groups of people just ate lots of animal-source K2 so it didn't matter? I have no idea. Hmm...

My nursing is really sensitive to me having dairy, meaning my raw milk and yogurt from cows. He gets all stuff nosed and gets terible cradle cap. I have switched to raw organic goats milk and have been making yogurt with dogmoms vili starter. My baby is going just fine now. And he is fine with me still having butter in my diet. Just a note, cheese worked for us too as long as it is an aged cheese like cheddar, and the cheese we use is hormone free, and the butter we use is kerry gold, salted. I am not sure how butter would do if it were just junk brand.

I determined the dairy was the issue from dowsing and have confirmed it by the change in his health.

Another issue for my baby was from the ezekiel sprout bread. He was reacting the the srouted soy in that. I usually read every lable, but somehow overlooked that. I guess I thought that bread was the best. Guess not. Now I only eat my homemade sourdough.

About the CLO, don't stop taking that. There is so much good in that for your baby.
