Wow, last week of October!!!

Still here
I feel like he has dropped -- my pelvis hurts and if I don't keep my knees mostly together, rolling from one side to the other in bed is killer. I really really hope that means his head has moved down!
I have been using the breast pump at least an hour to two hours every day in the hopes that it will get things moving in the cervical ripening department. My nipples are a little bit sore, but I think that may be as much from wearing DP's t-shirts around the house braless as from pumping. I just hate to wear a bra when I'm lying on the couch, napping, etc! I'm still thinking like an A-cupper

My BP is 143/102 at the moment... and I know it will be higher when I am checked at the midwife at my 11AM appointment. I'm feeling pretty sure she's going to want to induce, if not today than sometime this week (my EDD is Thursday). I'm feeling better about induction because my body is starting to show its own signs of readiness. We'll see...

Still here...I'm 40w2d and I feel nothing! I had what I think was a "real" contraction yesterday morning. But only one. This is my first baby, so I have nothing to go on. I have not lost my mucus plug or anything. I stopped working, so I'm just chilling at home, and trying to get some homework done (not doing so well with that).

But I think my cat has fleas and has been spreading them around the whole house. So now we have to go through the house, which was just thoroughly cleaned, and clean again. Wash baby clothes and bedding again. Steam carpet. Etc. Etc. And we have to take her to the vet to be dipped or something. I don't know. She is an indoor cat and the only one we have and we have no idea how she got them, other than possibly from a really old bassinet DH's grandmother gave us. (They had a cat.) Or we picked them up while walking in the park or something. Anyway. This is very typical of our luck. Thankfully we usually don't suffer from anything catastrophic, but weird things happen to us...DH was injured at work by a pinata, a junkie broke into our house and stole a pair of socks, car broke down out of state, among other things. Just weird stuff. But I don't want to bring a baby home to a flea infested house!

40 weeks today and counting...
Had about 6 hours of mild contractions last night.
Woke up and I'm still having them sporadically.
Hopefully they'll progress into active labor here pretty soon.

40 weeks 4 days and still preggers here. I am so ready to have this baby! Yet I'm a bit nervous about the pain thing since this will be my first home birth.

I'm really hoping I'm not still pregnant by the time NEXT week's weekly chat is up. That would be just a little depressing. I've been operating under an Oct 20 due date for most of this pregnancy, but I was charting and had a pretty obvious temp shift and if I use my ovulation date, it's more like the 23rd, so in an effort to not get so worked up about being "late" I've decided I'm 40 and 3 instead of 40 and 6.

I had a momentary panic last night when our photographer, whom we love, told us that she had lost all of our maternity pictures, but luckily was able to come out today and reshoot so I'm sticking with the idea that the baby was waiting for that, so now she can come any time!

39 & 3 and getting excited! I hear you on the rolling over thing. I have to do very small movements to turn over or else I'm in serious pain. I call it my 10 point rollover. And then I have to do this every 20 minutes it seems because the side I'm laying on will start to hurt/go numb. My poor DH puts up with me tossing and turning so well and I know he wakes up every time I get up to pee. I think he's on high alert.

Is anyone else feeling like they could just stay in bed all day? I had to force myself to get up today and that wasn't until after 10am.
