update on getting my milk back :)

So - I started last monday pumping and taking More Milk Plus (2pills 3x a day)

The very first time I pumped I got 3ml - then basically nothing until Thursday when I started getting about 1ml TOTAL each pumping....2ml on Friday....1/2oz total on saturday and 1oz total on Sunday.

I'm definitely on pace to get at least an ounce today - I'm thinking maybe 1.5 oz.

I haven't been able to get Charlotte to latch on for any significant amounts of time, I really think once there's more milk she will...but in the meantime, it's me and the pump

Oh - and I started taking one extra dose (I contacted Motherlove to make sure it was safe) per day on Saturday....I think I'm going to add Goats Rue and potentially a prescription in the next day or two.

I'm glad to hear its going well. I've never heard of More Milk Plus. I'm having supply issues and just ordered some fenugreek and Blessed Thistle. I'm new at all this.

Awesome, Julia!!! My LO only took 1.5 ounces at a feeding when we gave her the bottle, so 1.5 oz is nothing to sneeze at.

You're doing GREAT!!! Time and patience and perserverance...you can do this!! That one ounce is one less ounce of formula and one ounce of pure antibodies, fat, vitamins, nutrients that aren't in formula!!!

You're doing an awesome thing for her

I mean one ounce for the DAY en totale. But still - these things take time, and as long as I see continual progress, I'm happy. Yk?

Check out motherlove.com That's where I got it. You can get one call More Milk Special Blend that has Goats Rue in it as well. (which is supposed to help grow your duct work...) That's what I'm getting next, because I'm sure that is part of my problem right now. I also asked my Dr. today for a prescription for Reglan -just two weeks....after that time if I still need something like that I'm going to look into Domperidone which works similarly.

I'm essentially starting from scratch - but I hear rave reviews about reglan or dom. Please say it's like magic for when you're just a little short.

That's fantastic work, Julia! And I've heard great things about dom from many women, less great about reglan, which apparently can exacerbate PPD issues significantly.
