I spent quite a while looking for one and ended up just getting a bunch of library books that all said the same thing- cut squares, sew them together, blah, blah, blah. I really wanted a detailed "how to" book that would walk me through step by step, but my quilt is now almost done and turned out beautifully, so maybe it is easier than it looks... just time consuming. My recommendation is to make large squares, little detail, and a simple border, find a nice coordinating fabric for the back (I just used a high grade muslin), sew the squares together, add the border, sandwich together the top, batting, and back, then put the... I'm drawing a blank, is it casing? Which I bought, then machine stitch in the ditch (or another simple quilting technique). My mistake was that I did too much detail on each square, it took me forever!!!
