Biodegradable Diaper Liner - Worth it??

I know nothing about cloth diapering yet as this will be our first LO.

I'm about to order some Sandies and some covers and thought about ordering a roll of biodegradable liners from Motherease - is it worth it or should I just save my money. The plan is to breastfeed, so I'm crossing my fingers that it'll work.

Have you had experience with the biodegradable liners or should I skip it all together?

ETA: If you've had a pleasant or not so pleasant experience with other brands of biodegradable liners, please share as that will help as well.

I use them once babe is eating solids. Poop gets messier then and I can't just throw them in the washer. BF poop goes in the washer fine, so you won't need them at first.

I loved it when I started using a diaper liner. Makes the messy poops really easy to clean up!! I think they are def. worth buying.

I ordered 12 sandies and 2 airflows from motherease, and with my shipment there was a sample pack of their biodegradable liners (about 6 sheets). I cut the liners in half, because I'm going to use them in the xs sandies to keep the meconium off the diapers. I hope a dozen liners gets me through most of the meconium!

Just a little FYI, so maybe you can see them/try them out without having to buy a whole roll to start.

I got 2 rolls free with 2nd hand bambino mio's i bought off the Bay. I used about 4. I think i found them too annoying and the poop was so inoffensive and washed out of the actual cloth so well...i don't know, i never got used to them.

BUT my DD grew out of those clothies before i weaned and i couldn't afford to buy more, so who knows if they'd have helped later on - i suspect yes they would if they were flushable.

I like this!!!! I can actually speak to them to see if they would include a sample of the liners. I am thinking about the first few days of meconium as well. Thanks so much for the heads up.

I have some, but I only plan to use them to prevent meconium stains.

I like them with solids, too. so later. we didn't have any probs with meconium on our pfs, though.

I haven't tried the mother-ease ones yet, but I will soon. The bummis ones are softer, degrade faster, and so cannot be washed (very messy if they get caught in your velcro in the wash. ask me how I know).

Imse vimse are a bit stiffer, but in my opinion caught the poo a little better. They can also get washed if they were only peed on and re-used a few times.

I often just use microfleece liners as well. Makes poop removal very easy and you can re-use them so you aren't always putting out the $ for new liners.

But really, you may not need them until you start solids.
