so, my 6 week checkup is something i am still trying to get scheduled. All they had available when i first went in was 11/25! so, i am trying to get something sooner because i won't even be in town on 11/25. anyway...Cora is 6 weeks on wednesday.

Anyone start DTD before getting an official go ahead from a doc or midwife? i don't want to mess anything up but also my poor husband.

I did after my first one, not with any of the others. If your bleeding has stopped and if you had stitches and they have healed, you should be fine. My dh says he isn't coming near me until he's fixed LOL I'm ok with that!

We returned to action 4 weeks post-partum. But it's not like my MW would actually do a pelvic at 6 weeks anyway. I felt good enough, and the bleeding had long since stopped.

I DTD before my 6 week, but my appointment was after 6 weeks any way. I did bleed a little, and it kind of made me a little upset/concerned. When I asked my MW about it she said it was from my hymen stretching/tearing during birth. Any one had that happen?

Before DTD I checked other DDC's b/c undoubtably there was this very thread there, and many DTD before the 6 weeks. As long as you are not bleeding and want to, you should be good. Take your time though, and use lots of lube! haha!
