Funny things toddlers do/say while nursing

It was rainy & cold yesterday so DD (23months) & I were sitting on the couch watching "The Sound of Music" and she was nursing on & off. I noticed while she wasn't nursing, she was keeping her hand on my right breast. She explained to me that it was scared (the breast) and that she would keep it safe. She then took it in both her hands and addressed it directly, telling it she would keep it safe. Hehehehehe.

That is adorable!

My 19 month old always does the same thing, every single time we nurse. When she is finished with one side she pops off, looks up at me, cradles my breast and says "Mama, das all done.............................How bout dat other side?" she asks/says while pointing at my other breast.

She also now hums "twinkle twinkle little star" while nursing. It makes me so happy to see her with her eyes closed, warm and safe and just humming away to herself in her own little world

That is so cute!

My DS is 28 months and I'm almost 34 weeks pregnant. We have talked about him sharing his "milkies" (the term he coined...hehe) with his sister. At the very beginning he said "No, no sharing." And now, we've finally progressed to the point where he has decided the left breast is "Joey's milkies" and the right breast is "Naomi's milkies"! LOL It won't really be working like that, but at least I have him at the point where he is willing to share a little!

Heheheh, I'm about 34 weeks pregnant too. Anna doesn't seem concerned that she's gonna have to share the "bees", as she calls them, but I'm not sure if she really gets it. Heck, I didn't really understand how much a newborn could nurse until she was born!
