My nursling is almost 21 months old, I'm 13 weeks pregnant. I can hardly stand to nurse her for more than a few seconds, because my nipples are so sensitive. I've tried to grin and bear it, but it's become a serious issue. She's no where ready to wean, and that's absolutely fine, but if I can't figure out a solution to the sensitivity problem, I'll have to completely wean her.

So my question is this, would nipple shields help to cut down on my sensitivity, allowing her to continue nursing? Of course this would be contingent on her accepting a breast with a shield on it, but I think she would.

I'm also interested in hearing any other ideas/solutions anyone may have, as well as shield recommendations.

Thanks!
