anyone else post anti vaccine info on facebook?

I do. I feel compelled to share the info. After all, it is my child's generation at stake. The future leaders of this country. The future decision makers.

I never get any responses but by a few people on occasion who agree. Meanwhile the mom's I knew in High School post how there kids got their shots that day and cried, blah blah blah. One mom is a pregnant labor and delivery nurse and she posted that she got her seasonal flu shot and that the following week she'd get the H1N1 and she was excited about it! She preceded to urge other prego moms to get both shots right away!

It makes me sad but I still post away. Anyone else dealing with this? I know I've read a couple threads mentioning this. Do I just stop posting or do I continue, hoping that one post might make at least one parent do more research?

I am always posting anti-vax stuff. I've lost one friend because of it. But I've noticed some other friends have slowly come out that they wish they hadn't of vaxed their kids.

If I can get at least one friend (or more) to think about it, and research, then I have done my job.

I'm too chicken too because one of my friend's children has autism and she tells me how horrible she feels and wishes she had researched vaxing.

I do tell my friends why I don't vax though and name drop books for research. Most are very set in their ways though.

If you feel comfortable, you could post and at least spark their interest in doing their own research. I'm so tempted to post that Gary Null video now.

I try not to post much about vaxes and autism because I also have a friend that has 1 son with autism, another son with a seizure disorder, and another son with ADD/ADHD. But I do post subtle things. She has a daughter who is 2 and I am hoping that she thinks some more before giving her daughter all the required shots.

I have shared a few articles and have actually seen some of my friends share their own. I'm acually surprised by the people that posted anti-vaccination stuff. Its really unexpected, in a good way

a bit, here and there. It's good b/c it's got my sister thinking - as she begins to TTC their first baby.

I do. And it has started some facebook wars, but I am lucky to have many members of my local tribe as my friends, so the wars they started were heated and interesting!

I post stuff all the time.... anti-circ stuff, and carseat safety stuff too. I usually only get comments from one of my friends who is a non-vaxer and my preggo SIL who is doing lots of vax research of her own because of our decisions.

I post occasionally, but like previous posters, I am mindful of what I post. I usually will post a link to a vaccine insert and point out the lame testing of it.
I had a brutal facebook debate last week when a "friend" put a very in your face blog entry about those who don't vaccinate. It was so incredibly stressful (as you can imagine, I got hammered by a ton of people) that I have decided...no more debate. I will post what I think is beneficial to friends and family, other than that, some old locker partner of mine from middle school doesn't need to know my business.
ETA: The times I have posted anti vax stuff I was surprised by how many thumbs up I got. I have a lot more anti vax/selective vax friends than I thought.

I just posted the link to the Sid the Science Kid flu shot proganda labeling as such. I got a response from a high school old friend asking if I read the article in Wired magazine. My reply was great, we'll see what he says! The article in Wired was trying to make Offit a God and telling us non vaxers our children will die. Complete bull.

I would love to read what you post so if you want to make me your friend...go ahead...Lisa Beaudin Packard

I vaxed my older child as I was clueless and scared. My 2 yr old still hasn't be vaxed and I don't know what I want to do yet as I am still researching. I am still nursing her but she is starting to show signs she is not interested anymore : ((((( We were doing it 4 times a day and now we are down to 1 or 2 and she fools around and doesn't seem to even want the breast.

I post anti-vaccine, anti-government stuff all the time on facebook. I'm sure I've lost a few "friends" over it, but I don't care. As some religions believe it is their job to spread the word of God, I feel like I need to spread the word on truth on the corruption that engulfs this world. I know that sounds a bit extreme, but it's how I feel. There is just so much information out there that is suppressed by the powers that be. I want everyone to have access to it.

Keep posting. I do. None of the conventional-thinking people ever respond to me either. Well, I guess I can think of one exception where I posted this article here http://www.ageofautism.com/2009/09/b...g-vaccine.html and then I saw one of my video gamer male friends (I'm assuming conventional-minded and he has kids) reposted on his profile, so I think thats a good sign? Anyone here want to add me on Facebook so we can share vaccine info and other truths...Therese Reich.

I forwarded the Gary Null video to my doula and she posted it on her Facebook page. She's brave! She just posted some info on no-circ and got quite the backlash from males.

I regularly post vaccine, intact, b-fing, co-sleeping articles. I know that my friends often have different viewpoints, but I'm not 'friends' with anyone that does not understand how to respect different opinions or have an open mind. I don't slam my friends for their parenting styles, they don't slam me for mine . I will admit that it is rewarding when I see that someone has re-posted or 'liked' something that I've put up.

Occasionally I do, and only if I feel I have the info to back it in case some one refutes it. Most of my fb friends know we don't vax, and some of them do vax. I only hope some of the info at least gets one person to start thinking or researching a little more. I've had a few comments or emails about some things and it makes me happy. Some things people don't respond to.

So this one guy from high school has commented on two of my posts. Either he thinks I'm crazy or is questioning vaxing his kids and wants to know what I know. I sent him a message asking if he wants to discuss it more. We'll see!

personally I wouldnt post anything because I am a big scardy cat. But if you are already doing it, I would say keep it up. it was because of someone like you that I started researching it in the first place.

My SIL just posted a video of a woman who had a severe vax reaction, and I commented back that I was glad my dd hadn't had any vaxs and asked if she had looked into delayed/selective (they're military, so some might be beneficial for them, maybe) vaxing for their dd. That was just yesterday; she hasn't responded yet. I'm a little nervous though!
