Officially 41 weeks!

Wow! How on earth did I get this far along and no baby???? I was sure as I am breathing that this baby would be early! I have felt that way from this beginning and this baby is later than my first! AHHHH!!! I can't believe it! I have been having random globs of bloody mucus since Sunday evening when my MW/friend swept my membranes and this morning contractions that I am trying not to get excited about but nothing else. Wow! I cannot believe it! 41 weeks! I am turning off the phone because people keep calling to check if the baby has come and I am so tired of the asking! Hopefully, I will be able to say, "YES!" But as of now, I am not. I am holding off telling DH how my contractions are 8 mins apart because I don't want to lose a day of him home by crying wolf too soon!!! But he is an hour commute away and I should tell him soon!

It is so hard waiting! I went to 41 weeks with my last and everyday I thought that was it. Right now I'm 40 weeks with no signs of labor!! O-well here we go again!

Good luck to you and hopefully you'll have baby in your arms this p.m.!!

I'm 41 and 1 by LMP but 40 and 5 by ovulation date so either way, I'm pretty far out there! I didn't think I'd go "early" but I did expect it some time this last week and am getting a little discouraged at no baby yet. I'm just hoping the baby was waiting for my relatives to leave (which they did today) and now we can get down to business.

I hope it is it for you! I also had #2 (my daughter) later than #1 (my son). He completely surprised us by showing up at 37 weeks 2 days... she however decided to be 1 day late! So she was pretty much a whole 3 weeks later than my son!!! I wasn't convinced that she'd be early though (didn't want to set myself up for disappointment if she came "late"!)

Get up and walk and help keep those contractions going! Good luck

thanks for the posts. It really does wonders to encourage me at this point! And empathy is something :*) With my toddler I have been exhausted to say the least! He keeps me going. We took a nap together this afternoon...I feel like an animal always wanting to be lying down at this point! I am considering since the rain is gone today, going out for an evening walk in the dark and encouraging more contractions. i thought the nap would make me feel better and it just made me feel worse. So I will eat and then go out and walk before the World Series starts!!!
