Me, me, me! I think this season has really picked up the pace and now it's one of my most-looked-forward-to shows! I liked it last season but this season it's just gotten funnier and funnier! I love all the supporting characters - how funny was it when the two cops were debating which is the cutest Jonas brother!? And I love Alexis and Castle's mom - they add a lot, too. And of course the tension between Castle and Beckett! Love it!

I love this show too. Has anyone read Heat Wave. They had someone ghost write the novel Castle supposedly wrote. They even put Nathan's picture on the back. It's just like watching an episode except with different names and a big love scene.

There is a trope on various cop show that it is always the famous guest star who "done it". I love that the writers and casting folks seem to be on to this with Castle. At least, my and DH had a conversation that went something like "Anders did it, no it was Max Medina. I recognize Max Medina and Gilmore Girls was probably bigger numbers wise than Battlestar..." The episode with the whips messed with this too.

I had no idea that there's an actual book. Now I must have it.

I love this show. It's light and fun and I love the characters. I've only just started watching so I have a lot of catching up to do.

OK....I watched every Firefly episode last week, for the very first time.

LOVED IT!!!!!!!! So mad that it was only 14 episodes long. That show had so much potential! It's wrong, just. wrong.

So, now I guess I'd better start watching Castle. I'll give it a shot, especially since they are making Firefly references!

I am almost done watching season 1 from iTunes and am so happy it's had a couple more seasons at least! I will keep watching. I loved Firefly, too - can't wait to see the eps of Castle with the references! I am such a sucker for single dads with teenage daughters - love their relationship.

Not too spoilery IMHO. As it I don't mind knowing a set up as long as I don't get told how it ends.

Hw was cute in this too. He's doing a book promo in character when he finds a body. Wait for the shoutout at the end.

I don't know how I missed this thread before, but yay!!!! DH & I have been huge fans of NF and we are liking this show a lot.

Great season opener I'm so excited its back for the season... my monday nights were getting .. blah

Esposito and Ryan have grown so much. I used to have trouble telling them apart. I loved the bit in this episode where Esposito rolls his chair back to say something to Kate and when Ryan tries he overshoots.

They keep saying in interviews that they don't want to be like Moonlighting and have the leads get together. I don't know if anyone remembers but the reason that show tanked when David and Maddy got together is that the writers forgot about the rest of the cast and about creating humorous yet compelling mysteries to solve. I think the writers of Castle can do better and there is a limit to how much UST the fans can take. What do you think?

I can take a fair bit of UST - but I have my limits. For instance, Bones. It used to be one of my favorite shows, but now I'm just getting irritated with them due to the UST. I'm ready for them to just be together already!

I completely agree! I loved the look Esposito gave Kate when Ryan slowly rolled back ... like *sigh* I know what you're going through.

I agree I will have a limit on my UST, but I think the writers understand that and honestly it is a troupe show. M & R have just as key parts in carrying the show along. I think my favorites with them are: the one with the cosmetics/skin care mogul and the wedding of Castle's ex-gf (alyssa milano!)
