Clothes shopping

I already feel like maternity clothes shopping. The last time I was pregnant I was due in March, so I bought mostly winter clothes. This time it'll be much more springy and summery. And now that it's fall- I'm betting all the stuff for the spring and summer will be ON SALE! or even- dare I imagine... CLEARANCE!!

I really really really want to go clothes shopping. Anyone else feeling this or am I totally off my rocker here?

I have lots of clothes (since this will be #4 for me!!) so I don't see too much shopping in my future Especially since this will be our last bundle of joy!! But I can't wait to get into those comfy maternity clothes!! I've already considered pulling out the box from the basement!! I'm thinking another month and then I'll go for it, lol!!

Hahaha! I've already BEEN!! And everything summer is on clearance! I didn't buy anything though.

Last time I went, I was also due in march and I dreaded the maternity shop clothing. Mostly because the two brand name stores we have around here are simply not my style of clothes and I didn't feel like myself wearing them.
This time around, I plan on going to the second hand shops to try and find some maternity clothes. I am hopeful that I will find some alternative brands of clothing that are more my style, and more affordable. Now it's just a matter of when...will...my ...belly...Pop!

I think you should go!!

I've picked up a few things from the thrift store on 50% off day, but haven't been to an actual maternity store. Well, I did go to Target and look through the mat clearance stuff, but it was all either super ugly or size XS, hahaha, not happening. I figured most places would be past their summer clearance by now, but now you guys made me want to go look.

I had that idea for baby clothes, but I haven't seen any summer clearance left for that at all.

Check out the thrift stores, I found some awesome stuff there. I think I paid $1.50 - $2 for shirts and $3 for a pair of pants.

I have done a little browsing online, but that's about the extent of it. Actually I was going to post about this too. I was wondering if anyone had tried any maternity jeans from Old Navy. I saw a really cute pair online (I HATED the ones from Gap, skinny maternity jeans? Uhhh, no.) These were just normal looking jeans, not super flared, super long (like you have to wear heels with) or skinny, just normal jeans. They had a low waist but with a wide, comfy looking elastic band. They weren't too pricey either and I am going to need a few pairs, I thought I might try them out. I really should get into an Old Navy store while I can still fit into my "normal" jeans and see what size I am in ON sizes. I typically buy guys jeans. I am all about the CLEARANCE rack though! I would buy some sundresses or summer tops at this point if I found anything cute left.

I picked up a few tops at the thrift store back when I "had a hunch" that I could be pregnant. I'm glad I did! They were .25 each!

I also have an unusual number of pants and capris righ now, in slightly larger sizes, so I looked up some tutorials for how to turn regular jeans and bottoms into maternity and I think I'm going to do that. It be way easier than sewing them from scratch plus waaaaay cheaper than buying new stuff.

My last baby was born in Jan, so I need like a complete opposite wardrobe this time, lol!

I am a hopeless H&M addict. I can't help it. I don't really enjoy shopping but I'm really picky about what clothing I like- and I like H&M. So I just seem to buy everything there. It's stylish, well-made, and not too expensive for me and most importantly it's all in ONE STORE. And much to my extreme delight they have a maternity line called H&M Mama AND I happened to walk in there yesterday and find that almost all their summer maternity stuff was 50-70% off! So I bought some jeans, a really cute dress, some leggings with a big belly cut into them, and a couple of really great shirts. I got a couple of nursing tanktops too that were on sale, but when I got home I realized I tried them on and they fit me NOW...but I have no idea how big my boobs and the rest of me will be after all is said and done. They were 2 for $12 so I think I'm going to go back and get another set in a size bigger. Colour me ecstatic. They also have really cute baby things...but that's getting way too ahead of myself.

I loathe some of the maternity clothes that I see in other places... a lot of it is so marmy...

Huh, I've never been to an H&M, though a few have popped up in my area more recently. Their website is an incredible turn-off so I never bothered going, but maybe I'll check it out.

I tried on a pair of jeans (full panel) and a pair of gaucho pants that I found in my closet today. Must have forgot to pass them on. They were so comfy. But I looked SO HUGELY pregnant in them. Not a good sign. So, I figure I will wait until I am not so gassy. Lovely. Then wear the heck out of them until I get my old stuff back! Have fun shopping ladies!!

This is #3 for me, but I've already lent all of my maternity clothes to my sister, who is due in February. So after Feb I'll have some, but I think I'm going to need stuff before that. I'm planning to sew a bunch of tops. I think I'll buy some jeans, hopefully at a second hand store. Last pregnancy they didn't have those super-comfy looking maternity bands for pants, just the very un-comfy huge belly panels that come up almost to my boobs...eww. I can't wait to try out the new style!

Holy crap, I still can't believe I'm pregnant. I can't believe I'm talking about this!

I Love H&M too! I bought a pair of maternity jeans there when I was newly pregnant with my dd...I hope they still fit! I keep wishing we had a H&M near our city. I think I may actually do a road trip to go to one soon...I've been planning on it if I can't find anything decent at the thrift stores.

So I went to Shopko and took advantage of their clearance racks and got 2 shirts. One for $3.50 and one for $3. Our thrift stores here are so expensive ($4 for a shirt) so these were great deals. If anyone has Shopko around, I recommend them. They have GREAT sales and clearances and since not many people I know shop there, I don't have to worry about someone else having the same clothes as me.

i just decluttered almost ALL my maternity clothes last month! the irony!

although it wouldn't matter anyway, and like some of you, my other kids were dead-of-winter babes, so i kind of get to start fresh!

i went shopping today and bought fisherman's pants, tye-dye wide leg jersey pants and some adorable pants from avatar that are 3-tiered and asymmetrical. i love them!

i also splurged on a *gorgeous* (and large!) moonstone pendant set in silver. i always buy, or dh gets me, jewelry when i'm pg or for our anniversary. i like jewelry to be special and have history in that way. (i know, sappy stuff!)

My last two pregnancies were in Hawaii so the need for a lot of maturnity wear wasn't necessary. I just wore halter tops and skirts. But now we are somewhere much colder I'm going to have to invest in some clothes. I usually don't start showing until 15-20 weeks so I have some time to shop for good deals.

Same here.
Last pregnancy I was in Texas and now Russia! Slight difference!
Also when I got pg with DS I was 50lbs heavier than I am now so I guess I'm starting from scratch which is good and bad.
Good that I'm lighter and that I have an excuse to shop.
Bad that I'm going to need to spend money on an ugly maternity winter coat or wear one of DH's when I start to show!
