So my 13 mo DS is still nursing... A lot. And we co-sleep so he nurses at night too. All of which I am quite happy with- it's so sweet. However, I still haven't gotten AF yet. I thought we would be able to try for another LO by now. Have any of you gotten AF quite late? I'm trying not to get worried and we were hoping to be TTC but not ready to wean. Any similar experiences? TIA!

i haven't had mine in over five years!
but i did have another baby in the middle of those years. i got pg with my dd just before ds turned two, i caught the first egg. i admit, i was getting a bit nerves about af not showing up but i figured if my body wasn't ready yet my family wasn't ready yet either.
i started focusing on ovulation, i took a few herbs and attempted to nurse at night a little less often. and that seemed to work for me.
i hope that helps.

Perfectly normal. If you are ecologically breastfeeding (nursing on baby's schedule day and night, nursing while cosleeping and naping together, no artificial nipples, and not leaving your baby with babysitters), then the average time for AF to return is over 14 months. If you're doing most of that, you may also experience a longterm breastfeeding infertility. Most people who don't do that get AF back within 3-6 months. Some people have to reduce or eliminate night nursing or even wean completely before they can get pregnant again.
