Last night, there was this documentary on discovery health called "freebirthing". I really appreciated how all the moms were very pro-freebirthing but rather disappointed at how the OBs portrayed it.
Anyhow, during the commercials, I saw one that was repeated at least twice. It was a pro-breastfeeding commercial!! I've never seen anything but formula ads, but this was different. It showed a woman going to the grocery store and picking up a glass container of breastmilk and later on a bus reading a paper with the back page being one giant ad for breastmilk with "get one free" coupons. The narrator was saying how breastmilk can't be bought in a store and that choosing to breast feed was the best choice for mom and baby. It even showed a mom nursing her baby! Apparently it was for Medela breast pumps and supplies.
I thought it was pretty awesome. I'm glad to see breastfeeding commercials instead of those horrid formula ones.
