Anyone tried using EO onto fire logs?

With winter approaching I thought that it'd be great to try using EO onto the fire logs for a nice aromatic boost.
Valerie Ann Woorwood recommends cypress, pine, sandalwood, or cedarwood oils. I've just ordered some Pine Needle EO and some Cedar Virginian but I'd love to hear your impressions and suggestions on this!

Please don't use (Santalum album) sandalwood eo. It is endangered and should be used with respect to that state. Using Santalum album on firewood is wasteful.

Australian sandalwood is ecologically responsible and a renewable crop.

Instead of using eos on wood (we have a Quadrafire wood stove), I use them in the medicine cup of a vaporizer. It adds needed humidity and wonderful fragrance to the room (not up the stove pipe or chimney!).

I have a vaporizers in our living room, our bedroom and ds's bedroom. I also have one in our sunroom which really takes to the added humidity!

Be warned, some people are very sensitive to pine oil, use with caution.

Thank you for letting me know about this, although I wouldn't have used sandalwood anyway as it is so expensive!

Do you use electric vaporizers? I have the traditional diffusers with a tealight but as I'm using pure beeswax candles (to avoid indoor pollution caused by paraffin candles) the cost is pretty high. That is why I consider using EO onto the fire logs when the fireplace is on this winter
