Does CLO expire?

I have an old bottle of Garden of Life CLO that has been in my fridge for, um... a year or so. It is still sealed, so nothing has gotten in to contaminate it.

Whatcha think? Still good? I know it was never all that good to begin with, being a lesser brand...

Yes, it can go rancid and give you awful indigestion if you take it. Toss it and buy new...

Well, I've had an open bottle in my fridge for i don't know how many months... 6?? more? And it is still good. i've only recently gotten better about taking it several times a week. I'd contact the manufacturer to see what they say about a sealed bottle.

It has what looks like white sediment in it.. which might indicate bad changes, but might just be normal for something sitting still for so long.

I dunno.

I'll probably toss it. Maybe I'll open it and sniff it first.

My vote is for opening and sniffing it.

I found some chlorophyll in the fridge yesterday that had gotten buried. The expiration date was still months away and it looked fine through the bottle (no growths, etc). When I opened it, though, P-U! It did not smell anywhere close to "normal". The lid had a slight hairline crack that I only found by gently tilting the bottle. Yep, my fingers were dark green for a bit...

I had a bottle of HVCLO sitting in my fridge for probably as long as the bottle you have in yours. We opened it, smelled it, and tasted it. It smelled and tasted just like any other HVCLO. There was no way I was just going to throw it out without doing so first. Why waste it? Besides...it's not like you had it sitting on the shelf in the middle of summer somewhere.

Mine gets a sediment at the bottom too. I just shake it up a little. I thought this was normal for CLO.

I recently spoke to someone at Radiant Life, and they said their cod liver oil, if sealed, is good for 2 years from the bottling date.
