Is this mold on my bread dough?

I wish I could attach a picture, but don't have the time.
I've been making bread using the "Artisian Bread in 5 Minutes" and I went to pull out my container today, and the top of the bread dough was darker (like a gray color) than the dough underneath. The dough smells normal. I made the dough about 4 days ago. Does this happen over time, or is my dough bad?

If you let really wet dough sit the top gets like that. Same as if you soak grains in buttermilk and get a thick batter, the next day the top is duller color. It's fine

Thanks! I was hoping that I wouldn't have to ditch it, but would have.
