Fuzzibunz OS vs PF?

I'm still looking for a good pocket dipe for overnight. Leakage (mostly up the back) has been an ongoing problem.

I see a lot of people like Fuzzibunz so I was going to buy one to try. From the website it seems like both their OneSize and their PerfectFit are adjustable. I would think the 'semi-sized' Perfect Fit would be more likely to get, well, a perfect fit. But the OneSize actually seems more adjustable - it's got specific adjustments for both waist and legs.

Anybody have opinions on how these two compare, and specifically which would be most likely to give me the best fit for overnight leak protection?

i dont think the perfect fit are adjustable. er, i know they're not because i own some of them LOL. the perfect fit are the sized, and the os are adjustable. i have a os on the way, but i havent tried one yet so i can't speak for them. the medium sized fb supposedly fit a big size range of kids, so maybe that is why youre thinking they are adjustable? im trying to decide between the os fb, the sized fb, and bg 3.0 to replace all the diapers that dont fit anymore that we just sold off. i'd prefer one of the fb, but dh wants the aplix like bg has. i can't make up my mind! oh, post your little one's weight and size and such and you may get some more specific responses

While I do like my FB OS, my DS is big, 21 lbs and 7 months. They still look large on him and are bulky. For night itme I don't think it matters as much though.

All that said, we use fitteds with a fleece liner for night time. It sems to stop the leaks best. We use a cloth etc. fitted with a joey bunz hemp insert in it.

Thanks for the info! Yeah, the Fuzzibunz website said the medium PFs fit a really big weight range, so that and the fact that the picture showed a big double line of snaps made me think they had a snap-down rise system. Guess not.

Five months and 15 lbs. Her weight is pretty evenly distributed, not particularly skinny or chunky at the waist or thighs I don't think. I just recently switched to CD from sposies and I'm really hoping not to have to buy too many more dipes as she grows so I'm trying to stick with one-size type diapers.

Yeah, I am using Softbums for our daytime dipe; they are a pretty trim OS AI2 and leaking hasn't been a problem, so I am just looking for a nighttime solution. I like the pockets because they have the stay-dry liner no matter how wet the insert gets. It's not much good if the liner is dry while her PJs and our bedsheets are soaked though, so my insistence on pockets is starting to look a little stupid.

I've tried both the 'one size' and 'perfect size'. Overall, I like them both. I didn't start using cloth until April/May of this year when my kids were about 2.5 and 6 months so I have never used cloth on a small infant and don't have input on that. The 'perfect size' is adjustable in the waist to fit the weight range, but not in the leg/rise like the 'one size' diapers are. The 'one size' diapers are adjustable in both leg/rise and waist. Neither diaper snaps down like bum genius, for example.

I can see the medium size possibly fitting my youngest (now about 11 months and 22 lbs) until he potty trains, but not really my older child that is in diapers (now almost 3 years old and 33 lbs). My three year old can still wear the medium even though he's out of the weight range. He's a tall, skinny young man so maybe that's why. I don't think the three year old will potty train for a while, but I could be wrong b/c he shows signs, but can't yet talk so I'm really not sure. For a while, I wasn't thrilled with the one size diapers on him, but I think I have finally figured out what setting to have them on and I like them on him now. I can see how if you have two in diapers that need different settings, the medium FB might work better b/c you wouldn't have to adjust the leg/rise of the diapers for each child as long as they fit the size.

I prefer the perfect sized ones. They're not as bulky and fit better.

However, my dd is very skinny and I made a huge mistake and ordered mediums for her at 6 months old and around 15 lbs. Now, she's 16 months and 20 lbs. She's still on the tightest setting and I get leaks around the legs ALL the time because they're too big. I don't have this issue with the OS at all because I can adjust the leg openings. I wish I had ordered smalls because I think they'd fit her much better.

I think with the sized FBs the small and medium will get most kids through to potty training, so it's not like you'd have to buy a whole bunch of different sizes. They are trimmer than the OS ones so it's a bit of a tradeoff and depends on what your priority is.
