glamour mom nursing tank size

I bought one on sale at our local women's boutique, I asked why it was on sale and they said overstock of that colour, but now I'm wondering if it was miss sized, I was wearing it today and ended up with chest pain because the elastic beneath the bust was so tight, it says it's XL and when I bought it I tried it on and the woman there was surprised it fit me as she thought I was a M. I looked on the glamour mom website and I am indeed a M.

I wondered if someone else had a M, L or XL and could measure the elastic for me and I could measure mine and see if a miss size is likely.

I'd like to get a couple more now it's getting cold for layering, so if they don't have what I want in the boutique where I can try them on I'll order online, so I'll need an accurate size.

Glamourmom tanks always seem to run small, IME. I am 5'8" and weigh 130, and the large is small on me in both the bust and the belly. I don't wear them often because they feel too restrictive- and I like snug clothing. The elastic on my size medium tank is 23", don't know about the elastic on my large tanks 'cuz they're downstairs in the wash.

I had bought some mediums from a friend and according to the website, that's the size I should be. NOT even close, they were so tight!! I'm 5'3" 130 lbs and a 36D or so.
