Is anyone else having a hard time watching all of these shots on TV?

This isn't specific to swine flu, it is just the reason for the moment.

I can't turn on the tv lately without being bombarded with images of people being injected. Especially kids. Crying kids being held down by their parents.

I am having a really hard time watching it. It makes me feel physically ill every time. I can no longer watch the news.

Am I the only one?

Because we don't vaccinate, I feel like all of these babies are hurting needlessly, and I really don't want to be a witness. Why are people willing to put their kids on television while receiving a painful injection instead of just focusing on comforting them?

I feel sick whenever I hear about people I know taking their babies in. The Canadian shot has squalene and I am so worried for all the children.

I don't watch the news (no cable) but I can only imagine considering how it's everywhere on the net and radio. I'm also in Canada and if I hear one more person shriek 'OMG - they are going to run out of the flu shot before I can get it for my whole. entire. family. and some.' I think I will scream myself.

I feel physically ill every time I hear of a young child getting the shot, or of a pregnant mom getting in line for it. I just want to shake them and yell 'please search for all the facts!'.

I honestly believe they are happiest with the blue pill. It's the only way I can sleep well at night.

Lol the blue pill! Ignorance is bliss isn't it?!?

I can't stand the mainstream media anymore. Once your eyes have been opened to what is really going on, it is almost like torture to watch tv!

One of the many reasons we no longer even own one.

VERY liberating....

You're not alone. The whole flu season craziness is even worse this year and it drives me crazy too. It's one thing to get a vax because you feel it is necessary to you or a lo, but it's a totally different thing to watch someone being injected and know that it's being used for mass propaganda. I work in a library and it's on the front of every newspaper too.

I vax, but I still don't like watching screaming children on tv. I think it is kind of mean to film children crying, regardless of what is causing it. And I would like to state that I am not ignorant nor have I swallowed the "blue pill". A great deal of time and research went into my decision to vaccinate.

My DS 4 watches commercial free tv on TVO (TV Ontario) in the AM. Yesterday he was telling me we should get a needle! Apparently one of the TV shows told him so! And here I thought this commercial free station was okay to watch.

Today out TV broke! It just won't work Wierd!

I am sick of the propaganda machine that's for sure.

We watch everything on the internet so we don't get commercials and the news we get is what ever we come accross online. I know that it would be driving me crazy to. I even adblock my internet browser. I really hate commercials of most sorts. I'm worried enough about what flu info DS is getting from school. So far it's just info on handwashing and sneezing into their sleeves.

I am being told by family and friends that they are not getting the shot and we sould really consider not doing it too. Most of them don't even know we are non vaxers.

So the parent is doing the filming and not even holding their child? Gosh, that's mean.

My kids only cry for a minute or two when they get their immunisations, and they get ice cream afterwards, whcih they love. I wouldn't be surprised if my four year old asked to have another MMR so she can have more ice cream

We do McDonalds! DD1 knows that a doctor's visit means a happy meal, so she loves going to the dr (just hates the scale for some odd reason). She even named her favorite doll after her ped.

The only ads on tv I've seen the kids have been being held by parents and I still think that's bad. Filming them crying with no comfort at all is just horrible. Those poor children.

Definitely makes my stomach flip

Around here people want to barricade all the kids in school and not let them leave until they all get the shot :. I want to stay in our home and not leave until all this craziness is over. It's all everyone is talking about and people are practically violent when they find out we're not getting it (I usually skirt around the issue but it's getting hard). I guess all the propaganda is working

LOL, not the happy meal! Someone has to hold their hands down so they don't grab the needle and harm themselves.

We don't have cable, yet are both tired of seeing it EVERYWHERE that kids are only protected by having dozens of vax shots.

I'll be they're trying to wear parents down. "Fine, I give in! Let's go get the kids vaed for the mildest illnesses."

Yeserday I threw a magazine in the bath water when I saw there was an article on why we MUST vax if we want our kids to be safe. Sorry, but intentionally putting a substnce into my child's body that won't prpvide life-long protection, and protection against mild illnesses she has very little or no chance of getting in this country, isn't how I want my child to be "safe". It's like trying to keep a teen driver safe by never letting her outdoors at all. Eventually she will be, but no practice, and that's more dangerous. Bad analogy, I know.

We only get the local channels, and we do watch the "news" pretty much every night, and I'm trying to figure out just why they keep showing these images of children crying or wincing over the jolt of flumist. To "normalize" it when people are seeing it in lines, I guess? If they're selling it, why do they project this image, as though kids don't see the news, or the news promos?
