GOOD LORD that is disgusting! - Page 2

I put some strongly flavoured juice (Bom Dia Acai and Blueberry is the fave) in a pinch bowl and put the FCLO on top of that, and drink it like a shot. I only get a little of the taste, and I follow it up with coffee, and it's gone. DD doesn't mind the flavour at all, she sips at hers until it's done. But her favourite food is marinated salmon roe, which I can't stomach. Kids typically don't have any "natural" aversion to strong fishy flavours, that's learned. I was fine with that sort of thing until my mom made me take fish liver oil when I wasn't feeling well, and I barfed, and that was the end of that - I had to experiment a LOT before I was able to take CLO as an adult without hurling. I have to say, though, that I find the liquid a LOT easier to take than the gelcaps - way fewer fishy burps afterwards.

I guess I am the prego craving the fat because it was so scrumptious to me and the bit of indigestion afterward was just "orangey" not fishy. However, I didn't care so much for the cinnamon although I like the regular cinnamon just fine.

DS opens up when there is a chocolate chip chaser.

I have the orange, cinn, and maybe a couple others in the cupboard but we've only tried the Mediterranean (NOT what I expected it's black pepper, basil and I forget what else) I line the kids up in a row and load up the syringe and remind them not to let the syringe touch their mouths, I do the 2 yo last because he of course licks it LOL. Each kid has a glass of water to wash it down with and occasion one does a body shudder but they take it well.

I'm 36 weeks pregnant and HATE fish of any and all sorts but it's not too bad even for me.

Gee can't wait to try cinnamon now LOL

This is what I do for myself and the kids. Otherwise NO-ONE would take that fermented kind. LOL

I tried this last night, all the while holding my nose, and it was much, much easier. I find I must start mouth breathing as soon as I intend to open the bottle, to minimize my exposure to the smell. Otherwise my taste buds are primed. I also chase it with a gulp of orange juice and its very bearable. Now to teach the kids this technique...

I literally could not handle plain (non-fermented) Blue Ice or the cinnamon one...tried everything I could think of: with OJ, etc. Threw them both away. I finally decided to try the licorice fermented one because it was on sale so it would be like half the price of the gel caps.

And I actually can tolerate it well! So, might be worth a try...
