Symptom-free Pregnancy Driving Me Crazy! - Page 2

my last pregnancy, by this time, I was so sick I couldn't get off the couch the whole day except to heave into the toilet. I had hyperemesis last pregnancy. The first pregnancy I didn't have hyperemesis and never threw up, but I definitely had normal pg symtpoms.

So far nothing. I'm concerned because of the drastic difference (my youngest is just 12 months), the fact that my nipples/breasts are sore yet (and I would know, my youngest nurses a lot still), and I was nauseous just a couple days last week and now absolutely nothing. I'm so concerned that I'm going to see if my OB will send me for another beta test.

So girls, I was feeling pretty good about feeling queasy today!!! I've realized that I'm eating so often that I'm probably usually holding the nausea at bay. Today, I ate a little later and was feeling

Went in and had my levels tested. Last Monday it was 276. This past Monday was over 4,000, so I'm right on track for being about 6-7 weeks I had such bad hyperemesis last pg. I just can't believe I feel this good!

That's an interesting thought. I remember on the infertility boards reading that those who were supplementing with progesterone were always having pregnancy symptoms (whether they had a BFP or not). People seemed to be saying that it was the increased progesterone of a pregnancy that gives us all of these wonderful symptoms.

And if I'm remembering my hormones correctly progesterone and prolactin are opposites (as one goes up the other goes down) and prolactin is related to lactation.

Don't quote me on any of this b/c it's just something I'm remember from the back of my head and I haven't had a chance to verify w/ Dr. Google, but it's definately an interesting thought.

Very interesting! I've never considered this! Will have to do some research!!

So are you saying bfing prevents symptoms, or adds to them?
I'm not officially joining this DDC until I get my second beta, but if it goes well, I'll be straddling the July/Aug DDC. I'm already feeling MUCH sicker this time than last time (when I m/c at 6 weeks), so that's making me really happy. You all are proof that lack of symptoms don't mean much of anything, but my nerves need some nausea. Check back with me in a few weeks though. I'll probably be over the joy.

And BTW, I supplemented with progesterone both last time and this time (someone said that makes it worse). I was taking a b-complex last time, though, which is supposed to help.

I wondered if the hormones from BF could prevent? I don't have any changes with my breasts yet either, I am a little over 5 weeks. I've never nursed during a pregnancy but always had soreness and swelling as soon as I got pregnant, before testing positive.

With my last pg I was soo sick and had hyperemesis. However, I was on extra hormones before getting pg, so I'm hoping that had something to do with it. I was really nauseous by 5 weeks, and in the the hospital for two days and sent home with a pique line, IV, and drugs by 8 weeks.

I'm about 7 weeks now and today was my first day feeling pretty crummy, nauseous, sensitive to smells, etc. No extra hormones this time, and I have a 12 month old who is NURSING NON-STOP. Up all night, nursing what feels like 20 times a night (probably about 6), and nursing all day. He's not feeling well, but he also hasn't slept through the night since he was about 3 months old

I want my symptom free pregnancy back!!!! I'm so sorry I complained Yesterday, I hit 6 weeks, and all of sudden everything tastes like METAL and my stomach is sooooooooo unhappy the last 48 hours. However, I'm delighted to have proof that I am indeed not hallucinating this pregnancy

It's so reassuring to read the other replys I'll join in...I suspected I was pg starting with the implantation bleed and was pretty sure with the breast soreness afterward, but otherwise I've had nothing but a couple of pee strips and a pelvic exam to tell me that I'm preggers!

So, let's see: Boobs, check. Very exciting to finally be a B cup. Fatigue, check. But I'm lucky to get more than 6 hours of sleep a night, so not too surprising. Zits, check, but alas, that's been an off and on problem since I was 13. No weird cravings, no nausea, no super fatigue, no vomiting, nada. All I know is that my body is totally different in ways that I sometimes don't even notice. And I was scared to death until I read this thread, so thank you all! Heading into 8 weeks now, not quite uncrossing the fingers yet!

I'm with you--I'm at 7 weeks today, and still pretty much nothing apart from the boobs. But even they are really only sore mostly at night--I am often a stomach sleeper and lately that's started to hurt. But otherwise, I'm a-ok. I'm not uncrossing my fingers yet either.

I have to say, there is really NO point in worrying unless you've got heavy bleeding or unless your doctor sits you down and tell you there's reason to worry.

This is my fifth baby and my pregnancies were all different. WIth my first two I was tremendously sick, sick, sick all the way to delivery. I was terrified when my third came along and I had no symptoms. I wasn't even tired, really. Even after she was born I slept with one eye open due to all those miserable articles I'd read about a link between epilepsy and lack of m/s. Oh what hooey. My fourth baby was the same. No symptoms, at least no real physical symptoms. I was grouchier than three hurricanes.

Now we are having number 5 and although this is only my fifth week I feel it will be pretty much the same. The only problem I'm really having is major constipation due to the prenatal vitamins. I'm so bloated I look about five months pregnant

Be glad if you're not having M/S - it is really no fun at all. But before you know it you'll be about 20 weeks and then you'll feel tons of movement and if you still don't feel too pregnant yet, you will then

Over the weekend I got what might be a stomach bug OR M/S. Queasy, diarrhea, just yucky. But it's persisting, so I suspect it might be M/S. Humph.

I'm feeling extra nausea today too. And yesterday. And today yuckies from the bottom end. Thinking it's a virus. Hope we both feel better soon!
