Halloween Fun? Costumes?

How are you all celebrating Halloween with new baby?

I remember with ds I totally did the lamest pooh costume using one of those cute Pooh hats when he was three mo. I've done much better over the last two years.

This year I got really lucky and found a Bumble bee costume for baby girl at the local "Once Upon a Child"

And for DS, age 3, I am in the throws of spray painting a box to look like PERCY!

My little one has consistently been at the top of the charts in height, and last month she grew 3 inches!

She will be the Jolly Green Giant this year! I'll post pictures as soon as I finish the costume. *crosses fingers*

DD was a bunny - white snap-suit and a bunny hat! I was a mama bunny - brown clothes and ears on a headband.

DS1 was a ninja and DS2 was a skeleton!

I posted my photos here if you want to see them. Amelia did not fit into the costume I bought her a month ago (she is a big chunker with fat rolls and boobs now at 9 weeks!), so she is sans costume.

Abigail was going to be a Tiger but it was way too hot here in FL so I just put her in a Halloween onesie. http://www.flickr.com/photos/jillmariest/4066122435/

SOOOO cute! I am glad you posted those!

These are all so cute!

I resisted the temptation to dress Fiona Bee as a...bee. Instead, she went as a sushi roll. It was my first project with my new sewing machine!

Fiona was sushi. (Here's another, and another.)
Her big sister, Lucie, was an Ugly Doll (Bop-N-Beep).
Her brother Sam was Mario.
Her dad was a Gnome.
I was a Wild Thing.

Sushi! What a great idea!

DD1's first halloween costume was a unicorn (and later in the evening she was a "baby Jayne" since I had just finished her baby sized Jayne hat a la FireFly). DD2's first halloween costume was a duck.

This time round I got an Old Navy onsie costume at the thrift store and DS's first halloween costume was as a sorty of google eyed alien monster!

Pictures here and here.

(my own costume was simple and "faux clever"... I wrote riddles on ribbons and wove them into my hair. Then I took a glow in the dark sticker and wrote "enigma" on it. I stuck the sticker on the moby and went as "a riddle, wrapped in an enigma". )

ETA- dd1 was a peacock (she found tail feathers at the thrift store and announced "I've always wanted to be a peacock!") and dd2 was a punk pixie ballerina (though she refused to wear her tutu outside of the car ). DH wore a nametage that read "Who" and a mask... "Who is that masked man". Yes, DH and I go for the easy costumes.

I love this thread!

We just went with store bought costumes this year.
Older girls were Mario and Luigi, toddler girl was a lady bug, baby boy was a pumpkin, and I wear cat ears and whiskers every year.

Thanks for looking!
