How many years plus months have you been nursing straight through? : ) - Page 2

I nursed for almost 5 years exactly to the day...my DD weaned in August when she had extended visitation with her dad. I only tandemned for about 6 months; I admire you mamas who do it longer.

6 years, 3 (ish - not sure exactly when he stopped for good) months breastfeeding straight through with the same child, most of it breastfeeding two as my twins nursed a LONG time. . . DD weaned at 5 1/2 while DH kept going.

But I have been either pregnant or breastfeeding for 8 years, 8 months and counting as I coincidentally got pregnant w/ #3 about the same time DS weaned. I don't think the baby will nurse as long as her big siblings, though.

DD 18 months -- through pregnancy-->DS & DD 27 months to 34 months tandem ---> 34 months to present day DS

I had a big break between my two DDs (20 years apart), but the total adds up to 7.5 years.

It's 6 yrs, 8 months for me. That's pg and/or nursing, since the first 9 months were just pg. I keep wondering when ds#2 will stop, but he's not ready.

It's hard, I moved from NorCal to the east and I don't find many extended bf'ers here. I made ds stop NIP recently because I just felt so conspicuous. Funny, but in CA I was adamnant about NIP, just to show everyone that it's good. Now I just feel uncomfortable. But, I'm happy to nurse him at home.

Mine are all spread out-but started off with 7y and 8 months with #1 & 2 children-12 months tandem
then 2 years later came #3 -for almost 6 years
then a break of 2 years and #4came and hes still going strong at almost 3 !
total of 16 years and 8 months all together----wow never would have thought it !!

6 years, 11 months (almost 7!). First one nursed till close to age 5, including tandem nursing for 2 years, second one is still asking a few times a week before bed (she is 4), and third will start in January when she is born.

I have 12 kids so I've nursed a ton. Mostly at least a year or more with each child. However, since the birth of my now 9 year old I've been nursing nonstop. Kenzie turned 9 last June. I nursed Kenzie until the birth of Janai, then I nursed Janai until the birth of Mary and mary is still nursing. Kind of scary when I think about it.

DS 1: 26 months, DD2: 36 months, DS2 : 49 months, so my total is 111 months... altogether over 9 years. I miss it... it is bitter-sweet to be finally done with breastfeeding.

We are still going strong at 3 years and 11 months, with almost 22 months with tandem nursing so far.

5 years, 8 months here, with just over a year tandem.

5 years in December -- 6 (sadly, horrible) months tandem. We'll probably do another year or so. Maybe a bit less.
