Intact toddler with sore on glans, under foreskin

Hi; I have a 17 month old little boy who is intact. His foreskin has been retractable since he was a tiny infant (rare, I know, but dr retracted it without our permission at his 2 month checkup and it slipped back easily and didn't cause him any discomfort); however, I have not retracted his foreskin knowing it is unnecessary. I also made sure the dr's didn't again. In the last week or so his foreskin has seemed a lot looser, moving around when I cleaned him during diaper changes, and for the last few weeks he has been pulling his foreskin outward from his body, pinching and rolling his penis between his fingers- all stuff I thought was pretty normal. But when I was changing him the other day and his foreskin moved back, I noticed his glans was red. I went ahead and retracted his foreskin to look (and it retracted easily), and there was a red ulcerated sore about a cm below his urethra. Could this be an injury? Has anyone else ever experienced anything similar? His foreskin is still tightly enough attached underneath his penis that his penis kind of bends foreward when his foreskin is retracted and I'm wondering if he could have torn that, but it is a tiny and perfectly circular sore. Anyone's toddler or child ever have anything similar? Thanks.

There is the frenulumn underneath the penis attaching the foreskin to the glans, it is a permanent attachment and never separates even once a man is fully retractable.

It might be a cyst, or just a bit of separation. It's possible that when the Dr retracted him as a baby it caused a small true adhesion that your DS ripped loose.

It is best to avoid retracting your DS even though he is fully retractable. The sphincter can be tight and there is a slight risk of paraphimosis.

If it isnt hurting him it isnt a problem and it should heal on its own. If you want to put something on it then go with breast milk that stuff works wonders. Or you can get so otc bacatracin and put that on the outside of the foreskin dont retract to apply anything not even bm. Right now his foreskin is keeping germs away but retracting it might let them in.

The glans of the intact penis is supposed to be a bright red/purple because it is an internal organ like the inside of the mouth or vagina so no worries there.
