Amy Johnson-Grass assisted at my son's homebirth in Feb '08 and we absolutely loved her! SO excited about her birth center opening up soon.

We just had our second homebirth on October 22nd, first waterbirth. We had Maureen Dahl again and she is fabulous.

My husband is doing some work for her to pay for our homebirth, so I know she can be flexible about payments, too.

I want to bump this for more opinions since it's been a few years since people have reviewed local home birth midwives and I'm on the search!

There are also Emme Corbeil and Clare Welter (Trillium Midwifery).

Another that I know of is Rachel McGraw, Riversong Midwifery, but I'm not sure if she is taking new clients right now or not.

All three are excellent midwives.
