ideas for brocade?

I bought some embroidered gold brocade with the idea to make a dress-up dress for my dd, and am now thinking to make it into actual clothes for her. Any ideas? I was thinking pants, but would like to make it into a whole outfit--I'm not sure what would go on top.

She is more of a dress/skirt girl, but I can't quite picture what would work well.

Any ideas/inspiration to share?

A skirt made of brocade is fine. A whole outfit make from brocade is really overkill most of the time because brocade is rather a bold fabric. What color is it? A nice, simple skirt with a t-shirt in a coordinating color, or a festive, nice sweater would look fine.
