Are raw milk & fermented veggies less likely to bother breastfeeding infant?

I had to give up SOOO many foods when my first DD was nursing--all dairy, soy, many veggies. I couldn't eat cheese for at least 18 months, which was just horrific for me. But, I didn't have access to raw milk at the time and I didn't know anything about fermenting veggies.

Baby #2 is due any day now--am I less likely to see a reaction in an infant if I'm eating only raw milk products? And will fermenting things like cabbage make it less likely to cause the baby trouble?

It's possible. I've always been sensitive to dairy (it disappears when pg) and I tolerate raw milk products better than pasteurized, but not perfectly.

But all kids are different, and that may be a bigger piece. Just because your last dd was sensitive doesn't mean that this one will be. With my #3 I couldn't eat any (cow) dairy of any kind (incl. raw) or eggs or he would have an extreme rash, but #4 doesn't have any of his sensitivities.

I wouldn't try even fermented cabbage early on though. Just by it's nature it may effect any infant, so I'd hold off on that category of veggies for several weeks. When I tried cabbage in my diet for this one (dd is 3m), it was my fermented cabbage first.

raw dairy can still bother some people. you could try goat's milk, too, if for some reason raw cow's milk bothers your baby. but hopefully you won't have anything to worry about.
take good care,

Yes. And no.
You have to test to see. In small amount of course.
As far as the dairy, try consuming some raw goats milk kefir first.

My nursing 3 month ds can only have raw goats milk cultured yogurt. Both my kids are very allergic to sauerkraut. They breakout all over with serious rashes. (what I mean is when I eat it and breastfeed. Ds is too young to eat it by himself.)
