Tetanus? - unvaxed 6mo

Earlier today, 6mo ds was crawling and our blind dog ran into him and scraped his forearm. (She's an indoor/outdoor dog). I squeezed the scrape until it bled (though it didn't bled much) and I used peroxide on it.

Should I worry about tetanus (given dog is indoor/outdoor?) The scrape seems deep, but def not a puncture wound.

I am bf'ing, so I will irrigate with breastmilk in the am (I don't know why I didn't think of that to begin with.)

Anyway, should this prompt a visit to the hospital for TIG?

I would not even think twice about that wound. I'd give it a quick clean and be done with it.

Sounds good to me. Sound like you cleaned it well and it should heal nicely. Of course, its easy to second guess when its your child.

I wouldn't worry about it.

I don't know why, but tetanus scares the crap out of me! I never worry about anything but IT! Thanks everyone!
