Sleep is NOT HAPPENING...

The past week has been the worst sleep i can remember since DD was just born!

Between peeing, dd waking, my husbands own insomnia (he was cooking chicken soup at 3am. WTH?!?), bad dreams, my over active mind, or you name it...I'm ready to throw in the towel.

There is no reason for this. 5 months from now, sure...I accept sleepless nights as part of the program. But right now? This has to stop! I'm tired enough as it is!

Right there with ya. I've had insomnia most of the past 2 weeks - I've been doing 3 am cooking... It's tough, but today I'm trying to get myself to exercising a bit to see if that'll help since I also haven't exercised in 2 weeks.

yawn... yep me too. Can't fall asleep, I have started trying to do some deep breathing and afrimations that will help in the long run during labor. And once I accomplish said goal of sleep I get to enjoy some crazy A** dreams to keep me from really relaxing into it. Also, it seems that I can't stay asleep, I am going to try to MLW my son at night, maybe kick the cats out, and try to drink less water at night, see if that helps.

I don't sleep very well normally so pregnancy doesn't help. Usually if it is really bad I take a medication but I don't feel comfortable taking anything now...natural homeopathic stuff doesn't work. I just get up and try to get something done like clean the bathroom or sweep.

well ladies, maybe tonight will be different!

I'm hopeful anyway.

Sleep has been all wrong over here too. I lie awake restless at night, my mind thinking non stop and trying to make sure I can still feel all my symptoms. In the daytime, I am so tired that I have fallen asleep at my daughters nap time. Also have already started getting up to pee in the night. Somehow, I feel queasyest in the night time too, which keeps me up.

Wee pregnancy and all it's glamor!

What is WITH the dreaming?? Its so vivid and intense, then I wake up in the wee hours unable to remember them and unable to snooze. Every sound and every little thought is magnified. Today we spent a few hours apple picking (hill climbing) followed by trick or treating and scrapbooking (my back is killin me!) Hopefully all that activity, plus the extra Fall Back hour, will bring rest.... to all of us tired mamas!

That was me for a week to two weeks, but suddenly I can't stop sleeping. I slept this past week away (although I get a lot better sleep when I don't have to pay so much attention to *when* I get it). Poor dd has been watching her fair share of movies in the morning.

If Unisom works for you, that's often "prescribed" for really bad morning sickness (along with B6), meaning that it's considered safe enough for pregnancy. So you still have options if you need them.

I can't sleep either.. and i'm soooo tired! I had this last pregnancy too... ugh. It's worse now, with a 2.5 year old waking me to nurse half a dozen times in the night, so if i DO fall asleep it's not for long. If only she would nap during the day so i could too *yawns*.
I do remember that when i was preggers last time i had good sleeps through most of 2nd trimester... so i'm really praying for that this time too!
