Exercising - anyone doing it?

I was in a good routine using my Wii Active game to work out. There's a 30 day challenge and I was halfway through the hard level feeling great, but I haven't had any energy the past two weeks. Today I finally went for a 30 minute walk and did a 20 minute Wii workout, along with playing a few sports. Anyone else trying to get in/keep up their routine? I could use some peer pressure to stay in shape!

I'm trying to work in 20-30 minutes of walking a day. It's hard with my toddler because she wants to walk, too, and her walking pace is a little too slow for my liking.

I've also considered doing some weight training. I'll need to sit down an write up some goals.

I plan on it.... does that count? (disregard the fact that I have planned on it for years and years now....) I have a prenatal kundalini yoga, and an arobic walking dvd that I would like to get back into using.

Glad there are others thinking about it at least! I've been active for most of the morning today and feel much better than I have in days. I think the walk really helped energize me. If I could just convince myself to stay up and be produtive, I think I might actually sleep better. Might have to convince DH that we need to do something tonight - a Wii night might be fun, and it's cheap.

i just bought a gym membership last month so i'm wondering about this too

I do yoga twice a week. I also walk during the day with ds2 but my motivation for that has gone out the window with the warm weather. I hope to pump up my jogging stroller tires so so I can put him in there and walk faster to stay warmer. Usually he rides his bike so we don't go very fast.

I plan to as well. I have been a slacker for too long. I am starting this pregnancy about 15 lbs overweight. I am going to be borrowing my friend's jogging stroller and plan to walk/jog in the mornings. I live in Florida and I am hoping it will be cooling off soon. (we're having record breaking high's here)

I am still doing Zumba 3X a week, and a step class every now and then. I might look pretty silly shaking it in Zumba when this belly gets bigger!

I was running at least 3 times a week and training for the Dubai marathon until 2 days before I found out I was pregnant. Then the tiredness hit and I have hardly had the energy to get off my ass. Well not totally- I've gone on some long walks and just grocery shopping turns into a long walk- our grocery store is monolithic. But I feel like I'm forming a bit of chunk already- I need to be really active because I love eating I eat very healthfully so as long as I excercise regularly it's usually not a problem, but as soon as I cut my activity level, hello muffin-top.
I think I'm going to join a gym with a pool and if I'm PAYING for membership I'll feel more inclined to go, even if it's just to walk on the treadmill, leisurely ride the stationary bike, or splash around the pool. Something is better than nothing, right? In a little while, if all goes well, I'm planning to join a prenatal yoga class.

Please don't convince me to buy a Wii...

I desperately need to exercise because I'm exhausted and need an energy boost. Problem is, it's cold but I shouldn't let that stop me walking!

I walk a lot since where I live everything is accessible without a car. That means I'm toting some heavy bags occasionally, too. I also do nordic walking once a week with a friend of mine. Altogether I think I walk about 3-4 km on a daily basis and then on my nordic walking days maybe 5 km more.
But yeah, I've been totally wiped out and have been struggling to stay awake when I get home.

Wow! Nordic walking? You go girl! I was so tired last night, I couldn't even feel relaxed when I was relaxing. It was like I was unable to let go of all the days' aches and exertions, they clung to me. It took going to bed and sleeping until my next bathroom break (3hrs later!) for me to feel normal. then today, when I was training my 4yo how to clean the toilet, I was getting out the stuff for the sink and the fumes knocked me out... well not really, but I've been sitting ever since. I'm amazed that a day of normal stuff (watching 3hrs of cheer competition on bleachers, chopping stuff for the crockpot and giving out/supervising/taking over chores) leads to pure exhaustion!!! The worst part is that its only 430 and I've got to get up to put the potatoes in the crockpot... and can't see standing.

So the gym? maybe next week.... lol

Ugh! Need to do it. I am subbing to this thread hoping to get motivated....
Good job girls!

Finally went back to the gym yesterday for the first time in two weeks (since BFP)! Only did about 40 minutes of light elliptical - not sure if it's okay to use the crunch machine??? It was good to get back to it, but I'm just so dang tired, it's hard to get myself motivated to go!

Got a good aerobic workout at the gym today for the first time since getting my BFP. I've been trying to lose a few extra pounds that I put on last winter, and wouldn't you know, today is the day I'm finally back down to my low weight! Oh, irony.

But seriously, it felt great to work out. I also rode my bike for half an hour. My cousin told me she tried to walk for at least half an hour every day when she was pregnant, and she thinks it made a big difference in her recovery time.

i'm running about 15 miles/week (which is about 30% less than i was before), and doing yoga 3-4 times/week. i am going to confirm with the midwife next week that this is fine, and have been taking it easier than usual this week, but i really want to stick with my routine as long as i can.

I'm looking to buy an elliptical - but they are big, heavy, and expensive! I used to be great about giong to the gym 4-5 days a week, but I work from home most of the time now, which is nowhere near the gym.

We have a Nordic Track, but it pushes a bit uncomfortably in the abdominal area. I'm also getting better about yoga. As soon as I'm feeling more confident about this pregnancy, I'll start doing prenatal yoga sessions. Not there yet, though.

Good job ladies!

anyone know what kind of gym equipment is ok during pregnancy? like i said, i just bought a membership to a gym and then a suprise pregnancy. i'm already underweight so i can't afford to lose any weight (the reason i got the membership was to build muscle). maybe it's just swimming and yoga for me from now on?
I am. This is the first time I've ever really done it. But I walk at least 20-30 min 6 days a week. I also do other stuff like Callanetics, a little weight lifting and I have a pregnancy yoga book I want to try out.

My problem is I keep putting it off in the morning and I really do feel best AFTER I exercise. I need to stop dragging myself around till late afternoon and THEN exercising.
