"Retained Products" 11 weeks post partum

Hey all,
I'm looking for some advice from some mamas who may have experienced this. I am 11 weeks post-partum from birth #2, had a post-partum hemmhorage from which I have since restored blood losses. Healing was going well for 6 weeks, then I went for a big walk and starting bleeding more and bright red and the pain in my pelvic floor was enough to send me to bed rest. Since then, I had an infection, have done a round of antibiotics and been on bed rest as much as a mom of 2 can be. Bleeding is now just light flow and almost finished, but still pain in floor upon standing too long and had an ultrasound yesterday which showed retained products. I'm a little afraid of what the next course of action may be, D and C? I'm nursing and don't really consider formula an option, but I know that I'll have to pump some reserves for my babe if a D and C is necessary and pump and dump the anaesthetic, but I'm quite lost and a bit nervous at the moment. Has anyone gone through this and how did it go? Any wisdom is greatly appreciated
thank you!!!!

I've heard that it's not completley necessary to pump and dump for such a short surgery. the anesthesiologist has options that should work for you, but you'll need to talk to them beforehand to find out what they are. have your OB set up a consult.

Pump some extra for while you're under and if you really feel the need the need to dump after the procedure, then do so.

Do they really have to put you completley under for the D&C? I know it's not pleasant but why can't they just give you some versed or a spinal?
