Cruncy Muslim Website? Say What?!

Generally speaking, any website that is quite so heavily into Illuminati/Freemasonry/New World Order conspiracy theories and extensive anti-Semitic rhetoric as this site appears to be is one I would recommend being highly wary of, Muslim-oriented or not. Unfortunately a lot of websites that cater to anti-vax audiences -- and particularly audiences that are receptive to articles such as the one titled "Are New Vaccines Laced with Birth-Control Drugs?" or which describe the practice as likened to "satanic rituals or witchcraft" -- do seem to be equally invested in other conspiratorial, often heavily connected to racist, lines of thought.

I understand wanting to find resources in one's own religion supporting one's own positions, and we both know with regard to the issue of vaccination Muslim-oriented anti-vax resources can be a hard sell, particularly given that such a high proportion of the world's Muslim population is not made up of people who have access to the same level of hygiene and medical care as those of us fortunate enough to be in the West may have. But to be frank I don't see anything "crunchy" about that site so much as just plain disturbing.

See, I saw this and was all excited. LOL

There is a group out of SoCal called GreenDeen...which is a bunch of environmentally-minded Muslims.

Personally, I'm trying to work with my community on conserving water when we make our wudu. I seem to remember reading that the Prophet did it with one bowl of water or some other small amount. Way less than the typical American Muslim uses at least.

yeah, i think it was a handful or two? try using an 8oz bottle of water, you can probably get away with using only 4oz if you're really careful.
