ok mama's, I have to share yesterday, you all know Oct SUCKED BIG TIME for me, pretty much everything that could go wrong did. This month has been amazing but yesterday took the cake
The day started off not looking so hot with waking up to the blue screen of death and a lot of bad clusters and I decided I would not let that ruin my day, I already got the most important data off it and I bought the new computer to replace it like a month ago so if its toast I'm not going to cry about it. I am going to keep a positive attitude about it.
I'm assuming you all know that's thoughts become reality right? The vibes you send out is what you get back, that sorta thing.
So, yesterday I went to another computer and drank my coffee while the computer ran chkdsk and it was able to repair itself but the drive is badly damaged but still working which makes me happy.
I got younger dd off to daycare then took older dd shopping with me for food and clothes since both badly need winter clothes. I ended up having about $30 to spend on clothes so we hit our favorite thrift shops and we hit the jackpot so to speak at all 3 shops! Both kids now have winter clothes, most were NWT or looked NWOT for .99 to $1.99. So now older dd has 4 pairs of jeans and younger dd some how ended up with 6 pairs (had 3 pairs at home) but that's ok since when she's having a bad day medically she may go though 4-5 pairs in a day. I got a bunch of long sleeve shirts for older dd and now just need to work on getting a couple for younger dd then new socks and a pair of shoes for younger dd and we'll be set! oh yeah, dd now has like 4 pairs of PJ's which she is thrilled about! I was just in so much shock that it was like someone knew we were coming and just put out tons of clothes that were in dd's sizes that all look new
I even picked up this really cute Children's place thick fleece coat for younger dd for .99 cents and I swear its brand new.
I found a copy of Inkheart and Inkspell that look new that I'm going to give dd for xmas for her "something to read" gift.
I found the exact rolling backpack I've been looking for for $1.50, its about $50 new, just got to clean it up
I got a heavy weight 12 cup cupcake tray so I can stop stealing my moms too
Went to Winco and we had the ad for another city but since my town got the ad there honoring it down there and I was able to pick up a few things including like 20 lbs of banana's (to freeze for muffins and smoothies), the ad stated limit 10lbs $.18 cents a lb then the store had them on sale there for .38 cents lb so I figured .18 for the 1st 10 lbs then .38 for the 2nd 10lbs which is still way cheaper then the .76 they usually are here. Rather then deal with separate pricing she gave us up entire 20 lbs at .18 lb so 20lbs of Banana's for $3.60!
I also scored 10 lbs of extra lean ground turkey for $1.58 lb
(both kids are allergic to beef)
While I was there I got a major surprise, the nursing company called and the state already approved younger dd's in home nursing! She was already in the system approved for the nursing facility so all they had to do was add themselves as a provider to her auth and they want to start Monday! We thought it would be early Dec at the earliest that we heard anything back. So I now have child care approved full time for younger dd, 3 days in home and 2 days at the daycare that she LOVES. To bad I didn't know about this option back in Aug, I wouldn't have had to drop Anatomy and now freaked out about losing my fin aid next semester. Hoping its in time to save my butt and allow me to pass Algebra at least. Now just gotta figure out what to do with older dd.
An old dear friend I haven't heard from in awhile called while there too
I got home in time to meet the nurse bringing dd back from daycare, she pulled in right behind me when we got home. I honestly didn't think we would make it.
This morning started off worse then yesterday, woke up at 3am to the sound of the toilet overflowing and totally flooding the bathroom, were talking waterfall and pond overflowing. Never thought dirty sheets would be a good thing and hey, at least I had like 2-3 dozen clean prefolds in the dryer to help clean it up
Nope, not gonna let today's less then ideal start ruin today either
Now I just need to find the energy to get the house cleaned up before Monday, the kitchen and bathroom are scary dirty so there what I'm cleaning today
Maybe I should post pictures like pumpkin pie did for encouragement
oh yes, never thought I'd have this to complain about but, the cupboards and pantry are overflowing with food! I need to find space or do some serious cooking and freeze it which I have planned anyway, just kicking myself that I forgot to buy bell peppers at Winco, here there ridiculously expensive, like almost $3lb expensive. I get them at Winco for like .67 each. Anyway, no worries about food this month and I still have FS left over
Its amazing how much food you can get when your not buying the specialty GF foods, I didn't even buy a single mix since I have been buying 25lb bags every month of the various flours I can easily make my own mixes up now! I have 6 25lb bags plus I still have a few smaller bags of stuff I'm just starting to experiment with like Millet & Teff. My only worry is running out of eggs!
