I have four girls already and am due in 4 days with my fifth. I have a boy name selected but have run out of ideas for a girl name. Please help me decide...sisters names are Piper, Avery, Bridget, and Chase...

Alexa Brynn

sorry ddc crashing but saw this in new posts and thought i would come and be nosey, the name that stands out amoungst the rest to me is Alexa Brynn it sounds such a nice name that i'd be tempted to use it when i have another should i have a girl.

Hard choice between Alexa and Zoe!

I like Merritt because you don't hear it very much. I do hear Zoe alot... maybe I am not the person to ask. I don't have a name picked out either.

DDC crashing as well.

I think Blake goes best with your other children's names but I think Blake Emilia is much better than Blake Amber.

Oh, it must be Merrit. I have a Bridget, too, and Merrit goes well with that name! Plus, I don't know any Merrits, so I think that would be a nice unusual choice to go with your other unusual girls' names! (don't you love other people's opinions? always so opinionated

Thanks for all the help...keep it coming!

Perdita...you have a Bridget and a second girl with an I name...can I ask what name that is? Have any names picked out for the baby girl that is due?

In order from favorite to least favorite: Brooke, Alexa, Zoe, Blake, Merrit.

DDC crashing as well. Saw the title pop up on new threads. All your names are lovely. I just wanted to say that we couldn't decide either and so we decided to wait until she was born to see what her personality seemed to fit with. Well it didn't just hit us in the hospital when we looked at her like we thought it would. So she wasn't named until she was 10 days old.

We waited as well, but not 10 days! Dh looked him over as he was washing him and declared "He looks like a Sam!".

yeah, our family gave us a bit of flack for waiting so long. But we had more important things to worry about before and after her birth. "baby girl" worked for her those first few days.

I tihnk Merrit and Zoe go best with your other names!

My DD's middle name is Laine, so I'm a bit biased

Blake and Merritt both sound too masculine. Zoe (pronounced Z-oh or Z-oh-ee?) is a bit better and is a name I used to love. Zoe Emilia sounds kind of cool.

I chose Zoe because I love the name and I love the meaning, but I can't use it because it's the name of a friend's dog. So, I'm trying to live vicariously through you.

I voted for Alexa, very pretty. I also agree that Blake and Merrit sound a bit masculine to me. I like Zoe, but then my kitty is Zoe so that's a little weird for me.

Merritt reminds me of Lake Merritt in the Bay Area. The only IRL Merit I know is spelled like I just did. Her sister is Faith - her parents are Lutherans, and I guess they are trying to settle the debate about what gets you into Heaven - Faith, or Merit...hard thing to lay on a kid's shoulders.

I am a fan of Zoe.
