It's been 26 moths for me & I have no idea what baseline looks like either. But I think I'm going to have to give this mag/b6/antimony thing a try.
I was just trying to say, yeah, I've been there, I totally know what it's like, and for those of you who are still in the dark, things can change really, really fast if you happen upon the right combo.

Since he's high in antimony, I'd keep doing the B6 - that helps the mag get used. I also agree with Tanya that a b complex is a good thing. And I have to disagree with your osteo - he's right that it gets peed out, but I can tell you that while the excess travels through the bloodstream to the kidneys, it can cause all kinds of fun effects (crazy wild hyperness here, ask me how I know, LOL!). Nausea for some, tingling hands for my DH, etc. All temporary, but still...

I'm just going to spit nails if it has antimony.

knew I should have bought the amish one.
OK, I found that one - it looks fine, actually - if the wool is thick enough, then it could be OK. You'll want to call to confirm if you can, but it sounds good. (And I hear you on the spitting nails part - as I was bed shopping, I called around, and most of the "organic" mattresses have something unpleasant in them!! The deal is, the bed has to pass a test where you hold an open blowtorch flame on it for 8 seconds, and that's really hard to do without chemicals.

How do you remember this stuff? I didn't even remember he was high in antimony! He hasn't had anything except a little stomachache at night (not bad enough to slow him down, but when I tuck him in, he says "my stomach hurts a little") but that could also be from the TruFlora. I haven't given him the B6 in a few days.

And can I just say that I haven't had a UTI since the beginning of September!!!

Woo-hoo! So what do you think is/are the important thing(s)?
Isn't that when you added something back in, Kathy? I can't remember what, but I seem to remember you having an "aha" moment wrt your UTIs then.

LOL - I probably just assume everyone is high in antimony . I analyze data for a living, so retaining a bunch of crap in my head is an occupational hazard.

I personally would keep up at least a b complex for him, and probably some extra b6. But we're seeing big results from doing that, so I'm also totally biased.

Dd really wants toast. She had no clue toast starts life as bread. I don't know how to feel about that. First attempt at a sandwich loaf in the oven

Hoping your bread turns out, Shannon!
I have Bette Hagman's bread book, if you want a recipe. Still haven't tried any of them myself.

Speaking of things I'd been putting off...
I finally got through DS3's clothes and DS2's old clothes and now I have clothes DS3 will FIT! And I don't have to buy more. I can't believe we had that many from DS2 still but I guess, since he's so petite, he was still wearing some of his 9 month clothes not long before we found out about Marius and Marius is SO BIG that he's already going INTO 9 month clothes.

Oh yeah, and on the Mo/MSM/B6/Mg front...
I've noticed now that today I'm feeling sort of wheezy/asthmatic symptom-ish. (Remember that I just added MSM back in last night.) So, I'm going to start taking the Mo tomorrow morning and see if it helps.
So much for taking out supps.

Just received an email from Tera Warner of *The Raw Divas* about this "FREE Series of 4 Teleseminars That Will Demystify Detox". Curious if they consider heavy metals in their advice.

I'm going to try to listen in, but it is really hard to concentrate on an audio with children in the house, iykwim. But, if anyone does check it out, I'd love to hear what you think.

From glancing at their main website, it looks a bit heavy on the sell.

You know why shortening is called shortening? Because fat prevents rising. Oops. Made for a pretty good quickbread, though Dd decided it qualified as toast, but didn't want her slice actually toasted - just straight from the pan. Then she ate out the soft insides as 'toast' and left the crust.

JR - did the MSM ever cause asthma symptoms before? And... oh right, the coconut reaction. What other foods cause the same reaction for ds?

I've had this conversation before on MDC - The Amish are not nearly as natural as you might think. (But they do make organic mattresses around here, and when I looked into them a few years ago, I was impressed with the standards. I believe that it did involve a wool topper.)

The MSM is causing asthma symptoms IN ME. DS2 seems fine and is calming down. Not quite so tantrumy, whiny, aggressive... stimmy as before. I'm thinking another day or 2 and he'll be back to his normal loving self.
Dairy causes a similar aggravation of my asthma. Nothing else of which I can think that does it.

Yay for ds calming down! What I was wondering is if the MSM caused asthma symptoms in you when you were taking it the past few months? Or is this a new thing?

ETA: dd just nursed to sleep. I *think* that's a good thing? She got a vitamin-pop this morning, but was still cranky later. I'm thinking it was just hungry/sleepy though?

Not that I recall noticing. Although one of my chief complaints with my thyroid is shortness of breath... I wonder if maybe it's an iodine issue rather than a Mo issue for me? Where does iodine fit into all of this?

I wonder why it would suddenly start now, then...? I don't know how iodine fits. Maybe the thyroid connection has to do with pulling other resources from sulfoxidation?

oh ffs.
sulfur decreases selenium retention.
i'm going to try the Mo tomorrow and see if that helps before i add back selenium, but i'll have to call my nd for selenium since the stuff i have has millet (goitrogen ) as a filler.
