Yay! It snowed
Not sure if this is the snow that will stay, but oh, the white sunlight off it is pretty! We are into what I think of as winter light here now....all the trees are bare and sun is positioned differently so we get bright, full intense sunlight with a white quality shining in ...wish I had a good rainbow making crystal hung up somewhere....

What a great idea! My camera goes missing, too. Then I find it with lots of photos from a three-year-old angle.
Once, I had to delete about 20 pictures of a Dora dvd being played. Lots of sofa corners and the floor with one sock, etc.
Hooray for new coats! I have put dh on notice that if he doesn't replace his 12 year-old coat with the broken zipper by the solstice, I am getting him one for Xmas. I really hope he picks one himself. I hate shopping the last minute sales
Though it looks like we are having a warmish winter here, so we may have a good selection of heavy coat then.
I have three winter coats -- my thrifted cashmere swing dress coat (which I am wearing tonight for our date night
), my thrifted very warm long brown down coat, which gets pulled out when the temp drops below minus 15 or 20 celcius, and a very dirty light blue down coat that I was wearing everyday and that will never come clean. I just thrifted a navy blue one for everyday for all of $12. Not down or wool, though. We'll see if it holds up.
I make yogurt cheese! It is the main thing I use my jelly bag for. I like it with raspberry spread blended in or on toast with apple butter. And I add the whey to bread dough as a dough conditioner, or to oatmeal, which I try to soak overnight TF style.

Glad Erin is healing well, Aeress! Were the pictures to be taken at home, or a portrait sitting?
Glad you enjoyed the Big Comfy Couch, femme rouge. My dd had a Molly doll when she was 3 that she carried everywhere..... I should play it for my littles -- I don't think they remember it and it never was ubiquitous like the Dora/Diego franchise.
Overheard my 3 year old and another discussing in depth what they would do if Swiper came to their houses and that had me
I find the licensed characters irritating most of the time, but there is something to be said for shared culture...It'd be way cooler if they were plotting against Puck or Coyote, but at least they know what a trickster *is* and have some ideas on how to manage one.

Yep. I still have to tell my dh about that. He'll laugh because I so have one now and I so did not used to have one.
I love that your dh runs a daddy-child playgroup, singin angel. That is so cool.
A close family member did IVF, which our province does not cover at all, so it was a huge budget hit, but she had healthy twins first shot
Sending clear-tube vibes so that you don't have to go that route. I'm sure you know how good your odds would be at your age, though, if you end up taking that path...

Have fun! I love the Twilight series and am going with my dd, but not till the screaming dies down. I have realized that I totally identify with Charlie, the tolerant but normal parent, the rule enforcer, right down to being on Jacob's side. I am about as enthusiastic about being in a theatre full of screaming Edward fans as Charlie would be.
I think dh and I are going to see Men who Stare at Goats tonight. It is "frugal date night" -- found dinner-and-a-movie coupons we'd forgotten about. Looking forward to what looks like a very funny and totally quirky movie. It was that in our local theatre, or Twilight, or 2012. I've seen the world destroyed before....
That is some moose, Liza. Sending today-is-a-good-day-to-be-born vibes your way!
