how often do you have bread/rolls with dinner?

Once a week maybe? It really depends on what we have and whether I have the ambition to make it.

Almost never... special occasions like Thanksgiving, or if I'm having a craving.

never. i rarely eat bread

Maybe once a month, which is funny because I remember growing up there was always a plate of bread on the table every night.

It's not a "how often" thing but a "what are we having" thing.

If I'm serving something already starchy, like pasta or burritos, I don't serve bread.

If I'm serving soup or frittatta or stuffed squash, I always make biscuits to go with it or have bread.

Probably once a month when we have garlic bread with spaghetti, or biscuits with chicken and dumplings, or cornbread with chili, etc.

About 3 or 4 times a week. I just grew up having some sort of roll or biscuit at dinnertime. We do the same and if we don't have a roll or biscuit, we make what we call "poor man's garlic bread" - which is regular wheat bread, butter and garlic powder. Pop it in the toaster and you're good to go!

About once a week. Usually with some sort of soup or chili. In the summer, sometimes with cheese and salad.

at least 1x a week, not too often more than that. We always (ok, 98% of the time) have bread on shabbat dinner. If there are leftovers from that loaf, which is about 50/50, we usually eat them for breakfast and lunches. Occasionally DP will make another loaf in the middle of the week, or I will. Usually only 1-2 loafs total of bread in a week though.

I too grew up with lots of bread. Not with every meal (not with pasta unless it was garlic bread and spagetti, but we ate a LOT of pasta), but with many of them. If I eat with my dad, it is 100% that there will be bread on the table. We also had sandwiches like every day. But good bread is time consuming to make (we don't have a big enough oven, or enough loaf pans or freezer space atm to make multiple loaves at a time), and we would rather spend our money on more nutritious stuff than 50/50 white/whole wheat bread, which seems to be the max whole wheat we can make tasty. I'd love to get into a bread routinue where we make bread every day, or several loaves a week or something (sourdough ideally) but right now, its part wheat sandwhich bread every other week or so (not sourdough) and challah or other bread once a week.

Never! We're grain free now.

Before though, I often baked bread or biscuits, esp with soup or stew type meals.

almost every night - but it's because eating dry bread with meals helps me avoid acid reflux due to a gallbladder issue.

A few times a month. I prefer rice or pasta as my starch component.

As for bread at breakfast or lunch, I would say that's several times a week. Either toast or sandwiches.

never.

My mother has bread at EVERY.SINGLE.MEAL. I've tried telling her how unhealthy this is, but she says she "can't eat" without bread. Even if we have corn, potatoes, pasta or rice with a meal, she wants bread. Blech. About once a month I make a yeast roll we really like. I make a really good sundried tomato dipping oil and we'll get a ciabatta from Panera occasionally to enjoy this. If I'm making breakfast for breakfast or dinner, I'll make buttermilk biscuits. With soups and chili, I usually make corn bread. I'd say we eat bread on an average of once a week, but most days have a starch or legume in the meal planning (rice, corn, peas, beans, potatoes). If I make ham and beans... and old-timey favorite here, I'll make cornbread to go with even though we already have beans in the dish. Pea soup is not pea soup here without grilled pita wedges.

I don't like to say never, so I will say very rarely

Not all that often. We make bread with certain meals that seem to go well with bread, like having a nice heavy whole wheat with vegetable soup, tortillas with black beans, or cornbread with chile. But on the whole we're not big starch eaters, and if we do have starchy stuff, it'll be corn or potatoes or some other whole, unprocessed food like that. I used to be on the SCD, and I've only recently started eating small amounts of starchy stuff again.

I'd say we have bread with a meal maybe four or five times a month. We don't generally eat many sandwiches, or much toast, either, except for pbjs for the beach or the zoo in the summer.

Very often. But I don't see bread as unhealthy.

On special occasions (like holidays or having guests over who I know eat bread with meals). Also, when the dish we're having is saucy we have bread to soak up the sauce at the end.

not very often.

Sometimes I make biscuits or cornbread - maybe once a month, if that.
