Does anyone have a good recipe for homemade Gatorade or pedialyte or something similar?

TIA

Are you after a hydrator, or a sweet drink?

Best hydrator there is is coconut water. I don't much care for the packaged stuff (love it fresh), so I take a big glass, pour in 12 oz of coco water and top it off with pineapple juice (1/2 c tops). That's enough to mask the taste without adding too much sugar.

I'm constantly making cheese or straining buttermilk/yogurt and have lots of whey. I like half whey, half OJ and a pinch of sweetner if needed. Brewed tea, sweetner, lemon and whey is great too, I like celestial seasonings zinger teas. Maybe do 1/3 or 1/4 whey at first to taste

Thanks for the ideas.
This is for hydratration while being sick. I'll definitely get some coconut milk to have on hand, but are there any other recipes? This weekend my Dd was throwing up and I gave her pedialyte which got me thinking about how to make a "healthier" and cheaper version.

Not coconut milk. Coconut water. There is a major difference. Milk can be used as a milk substitute in cooking, is white and creamy, commonly found in the asian food aisle, and is extremely high in fat. It's a great food, but is not a hydrator. Water is usually a cloudy clear, and found in the juice section.
