What are Tubers?
Where can I get Kombu?
Which is better, coconut oil or butter?
Can I get a really goos reason as to why it is better to eat butter than olive oil and other good veggie oils?
What can I soak using whey and how?
Do you use coconut flour? For what? Where do you get it?
What is HFS? Some kind of health food store?

I had NT and Clean Food a while ago, but since I started back to work I got lost and a little lazy. We do meat, dairy, veggies and fruit, everything cooked from scratch, but I forgot how to soak properly. I have looked up all these questions here an delsewhere and have yet to find a really good consistent answer. Help! Please!

What are Tubers? Tuber refers to how a vegetable grows - usually referring to potato or sweet potato
Where can I get Kombu? Asian section of the grocery store, asian food store or health food store.
Which is better, coconut oil or butter? For what? They have different uses.
Can I get a really goos reason as to why it is better to eat butter than olive oil and other good veggie oils? Olive oil is one of the few "good" veggie oils, but a good portion of the olive oil in this country is not actually olive oil because the demand for OO outstripped the supply years ago. So a lot of what is being sold as OO is actually something else entirely.
What can I soak using whey and how? Most any grain or legume.
What is HFS? Some kind of health food store? Health Food Store (HFS). WF refers to Whole Foods.

Here's some info on oils/fats (might also answer some ?s about butter/coconut oil) from the Weston A Price Foundation: http://www.westonaprice.org/knowyourfats/index.html

I buy coconut flour at a local grocery store--bob's red mill brand--and use it to make grain and gluten free baked goods. There are lots of recipes online--coconut flour is unique--soaks up lots of liquid--usually requires many eggs when using it.

Also if you look at the sticky's at the top of the TF forum, there are threads on traditional foods that might have some of the info you're looking for.

HTH!
