OT: I've been meaning to see if the library has that FlyLady book. Her emails were just way too much for me, annoyed the crap out of me actually, but maybe the book would be more helpful.

My chart.
I've heard her e-mails were obnoxious, and my mom forwarded me some and I decided I hated them and didn't want one more thing to try to keep up with. THe book was really good though, and not nearly as obnoxious!

to you both, annette and claddaghmom

I bled longer and heavier for several months after my 11 week miscarriage. I guess that was partially hormones and partially my body expelling the much thicker uterine lining. I don't have any scientific or medical info on what would cause heavier bleeding, though.

I guess my fertile hormones are really kicking in because now another baby seems very doable again. Funny since just a day or two ago I was thinking there's no way I want another baby. Ah, hormones!

I looked for the FlyLady book at our library but they don't have it.

I thought my first one was a miscarriage too - for the exact same reasons. But then I had a similar situation the next month, with just less tissue. So I really don't get it. And when I went back over my chart a MC seemed really unlikely.

AnneteM- That was the worste cycle for me too.

I never liked flylady. I didn't do the emails, but when I looked at her webpage, I couldn't figure out why I'd only want to clean one section of my house, unless I didn't understand her process. I need to have all rooms picked up by days end-at least mostly picked up. Maybe if I read her book? Will check my library.

Watch my temp drop as I move closer to O (I hope). chart

Last cycle I had 9 days of ewcf before I Oed. I'm hoping the same thing will happen this time, a few fewer days of ewcf before Oing would be nice. That means O would be about a week earlier than usual.

MW: looks promising for O!

Welcome to all the new ladies!

AFM: hanging out. CD 22, no O in sight. Thankfully, my CF does seem a bit clearer than the past few cycles. Though I'm debating whether to call today W or C! Hopefully something clarifies the rest of the day.

DH and I are doing great with our "Eh" method of family planning. I was having a really rough week earlier, and the thought of getting pregnant terrified me, but I realized even then that it was just a bad couple of days; I would be and am now doing great. So I don't know how much longer I can justifiably stick around...seeing as how I am truly looking forward to a baby even if we're not really TTC, but we're definitely not TTA.

MW-fingers crossed for you. Dh comes home soon right? Dec?

Day1 here. FF still gives me 2 scenarios. Advanced puts O on d19=12 dlp. FAM, puts O on d17 w/ a 14dlp. Not a big deal to me. I had 13dlp the last 2 cycles. Will temp the whole first part of this cycle until I get a def temp confirm. Plus since I'm running again, I want to see if there's a difference in the next few cycles. Looks like for next month though, I should get af either right before we leave on vaca, or right after we get there. My luck-af will start while we're on the plane

Yeah, dh comes home soon.

The fertility hormones are really kicking in for me. I went to the mall to get some stuff at JC Penney but ended up at Victoria's Secret. I bought almost $200 worth of sexy, lace bras!

bbrandonsmom: ugh ... I always get badly timed too. Hope you get it after you land so you don't have to deal with it on the plane. Lately has been better for me. Instead of 7 days of horrible bleeding it's been 1-2 days heavy and over by day 5.

mw: Good luck to you I hope things are timed right.

I talked to DH this evening about TTC. I told him I wanted to know if he'd decided anything because if we were going to TTC or at least stop TTA, I would go buy good prenatal vitamins. So now he says January.

I'm jealous!! Although I'm not really sure what my bra size is anymore. I'm still wearing my Medela sleep bras from when DD was a newborn

I began my charting adventures a few days ago when my withdrawal bleeding started. I've only temp'd today and yesterday but my temps are surprisingly low. 97 upon waking both days. I thought maybe the digi thermometer needed to be replaced, because I temp'd after being awake for a while out of curiosity and it was 96.5? DH tried the thermometer after that and it read 98.5 for him. I always thought 98.6 was the the "norm". I guess I'm just a chilly chick

Seriously? SERIOUSLY?

I know I'm only 10 months PP.

I know DD is still BF a lot. Like, mostly.

I know I have The Cold That Won't Die.

But, SERIOUSLY?!

What IS that? Is there even anything relevant in that chart at all? I know I haven't had EWCM anything like I did pre-baby, so I don't know if I'm not going to anymore or if I'm anovulatory or what. I thought I MIGHT have O'ed when I had that little rise to 97.83, but I didn't really feel like it.

Ughhhhhhhhh. If I'm going to have a cycle, I'd really like it to, you know, CYCLE.

OMG stick around! I love to hear about other people getting preggars -- plus maybe it'll distract the baby-dust fairies to have you and MW acting as lighting rods. . .

I've been wearing nursing bras for 6 1/2 years now. It's time for something new and nice and pretty. I'm still 2 cup sizes larger that I was before then so I had to get new stuff.

laurelg ~ I don't know what to tell you. Charting can get frustrating when you're hoping for something that isn't happening. Try letting go of your expectations. Your body is going to do whatever it's going to do regardless expect that, if you get too stressed, it may do nothing. One temp doesn't mean anything in the big scheme. You still could've Oed, although I think it's questionable, not because of today's really low temp but because that thermal shift isn't very significant. I have several anov cycles as my fertility returns after having a baby, some very long, some very short, with O cycles interspersed.

MamaGwynn - 97ish is actually quite normal for a pre-O BBT. I hardly every get a temp of 98.6 or above even post-O unless I'm pregnant (although I do have one lovely 98.7 this cycle). Honestly, I don't know where they get the 98.6. Cuz I've even colder during the day than I am when I wake up, typically!

laurelg, hang in there. A low temp like that could be a good sign, my temp usually gets lower when I'm gearing up to O, and I know MW mentioned that too.

Hahaha!

AFM...AF is taking forever to get going this cycle. I mean, not in terms of my LP being long because I'm only 12 dpo today but I've been spotting since yesterday morning. I never spot for this long before AF starts. Just barely there pink spotting when I wipe. I know AF is coming because my temp plummeted this morning. But nothing but spotting yet. I was also hoping my 13 day luteal phase trend from last month would continue (without spotting)...

Oh, my chart

Can being around women who are in labor/just gave birth affect other women's hormones? I ask because I am a doula, and I just attended my FIRST BIRTH and it was AMAZING but anyway after I got home, I had the most copious, high quality EWCF I've ever had in my life!

I've heard from other doulas and MWs that can happen. I can't remember now if it was starting sooner than expected or being all of a sudden fertile. I can see how it could cause either, though, depending on where you are in your cycle. Biologically speaking, we are all always in reproductive competition with each other. If you are close to the end of your cycle and you're around lots of female hormones, your body might start sooner than expected so you'll be fertile sooner. If you are near O, your body might react by making your hyperfertile.

I forgot to mention that my temp is almost always lower on my BB thermometer during the day. I don't think I've ever gotten anything out of the 97 degree range. I don't know why that would be because my temp register more normal on a regular digital thermometer.

I might be having O pains today. I've had this intermittent sort of crampy, sort of achy feeling around the area where my right ovary is. We'll see. I think I had the same feeling last cycle a day or two before my thermal shift. I might actually be starting to recognize a discernible pattern to my cycles. That would be nice!

I totally lost my thermometer this week... Today is CD28. So AF should be along some time, I think....
