Charting to Avoid, November 2009 - Page 10

Ok I know a lot of us start to panic about pregnancy at the end of every cycle, and I'm trying so hard not to this month, but I kinda am. I feel pregnant all of the sudden, but I'm only 5 dpo. Here's my chart:
http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/2ab1c6
We had more sex when I was fertile than I normally would in a month (because of our situation), and since I was getting way less cf than normal, we just used w/d. We were getting along awesome, and I was actually starting to think a little about maybe getting back together for the first time, hence all the sex But then Sunday he flipped back into his scary evil twin, making me realize his mental health issues are still there and that he can be just as manipulative and cruel as he was when I had to leave him. I'm thinking about calling the local women's crisis center for legal advice, because I've been supporting him for a while and he owes me over 5K, and now I'm so drained myself that I can't move out or even buy myself a winter jacket! And it's getting COLD here. Anyway, point being I'm an IDIOT and this is the WORST time I could possibly get pregnant. For the last 3 days I've been getting intense cramps and feeling nauseous, and it just hit me that with the other pregnancy, I got signs really early and it started with awful cramping. I was sent to the ER a few times cuz I and my doctor thought I had an ectopic it was so bad. But... am I crazy? Can you get signs THAT soon, or is it possible for some women? Sorry for the long rant, I'm scared cuz my daughter was the result of using w/d, and the ultimately horrible timing is like deja vu for the last time it happened.

Anyone ever have oral temp problems because of mouth breathing? I totally sleep with my mouth open. I was trying not to last night but... you know how that goes.
Smyling ~ I'd put you at 6dpo. Yes, I think it's possible for a woman to have symptoms that early because, theoretically, implantation can occur as early as 5dpo.

MamaGwynn ~ I haven't noticed any problems with that. I really have no idea if I usually sleep with my mouth open (I'm asleep, after all) but I haven't noticed anything wacky with my temps when I've had a cold with nasal congestion.

AFM, still waiting to O. CD18 and day 7 of ewcf. The amount has picked up a lot since yesterday. I checked last cycle and not only did I have the O pain but it was on the other side. I think it would be so cool if I could feel O.

I'm still in! I have been doing this successfully for a while now, but I do have my diaphragm as a backup.

I set my alarm to take my temperature this morning, but we all played musical beds last night and I said to heck with it.

Smylingeyz: I'm with MW: your chart looks like 6 dpo. And the timing is right for BDing if your w/d went wrong.

MamaGwynn: If I was a mouth sleeper, I'd temp vaginally. If I have a stuffy nose it can throw off my temps.

Temp dropped to 97 this morning, and had EWCF again today, so I'm hoping I O soon! That would be awesome, since it is only CD 23 today.

Smilingeyz: I hope it all works out!

I was wondering if anyone is a WOHM and charting?

My dd is 7 months and I go back to work when she is 12 months. I owe my company a year of work before I could go on mat leave again. Therefore I have a lot of pressure to not get pregnant for a while.

Is anyone else in a similar position?

Where are you?? I miss the days of my perfectly regular cycle.... Or the days of no cycle. I miss those best, but you know. I wish I hadn't lost my thermometer this past week... I can't pinpoint any ovulation without it.

Here's my chart

I so fail at this. haha
MamaGwynn: That's totally me. On the nights that I have sinus congestion I have a hard time getting a good temp. I've thought about switching to vaginal temping if my temps are still wacky but I'd rather not. My chart with wackiness. Actually the two high temps on my chart this cycle are unusual and probably from being woken up repeatedly by DS < 3hrs before temping.

Alright this is the second cycle now where my O date is questionable simply because my temps are not following the pattern of my CF. I got dotted crosshairs today. And based on my temps, that seems right. So I should be 3 DPO. But based on my CF and the pattern that my body has followed for 24 cycles, I should be 7 DPO. And I feel more like 7 DPO than 3 DPO. Grrrrr....

So will AF show up on 11/24 or 11/28?

momtokimari ~ If you did O already, you're probably SOL as far as determining that. I'd get a new thermometer and start using it now. If you have post-O temps, at least you can say it's possible you Oed, especially if shows at a reasonable time. If you haven't Oed, you could still catch it.

Annie ~ I can see how O could've been cd17. Using the NFP rules and the ROT to discard your cd16 temp, your temps are above your LTL of 97.6 after that and you have at least one temp above your HTL of 98 within the 4 day window. I'd go with 5dpo, split it down the middle.

CD19 and I'm still waiting to O. I had mild cramps yesterday and this morning. If things follow the same pattern as last cycle, O should be anytime now.

That's another issue with me. I've been setting my alarm to temp at 6:00 then go back to sleep. DD starts getting restless in the wee morning hours so there's a very good chance that I'm not getting at least 3 hours of sleep before temping (but I'm also not getting out of bed or anything when she wakes, just rolling over to nurse).

Yeah maybe. Although I just had some watery, light brown spotting which is more consistent w/ 7DPO. So I guess I will just have to count back 13 days when I see a temp drop. I'm definitely buying a new therm for next cycle though. I don't trust my temps from this semi-broken one anymore!

GAH! My period is finally over and my thermometer isn't holding the temp so I can check it later. It didn't seem a big deal while I was getting my period, but now, it kind of is. I guess I'll need to sleep on the side with the light, turn the light on, and check it so I can chart it.

I will be getting my IUD out on monday because its causing numerous ovarian cysts and we will be charting to avoid for hopefully another 6-7 months. It will be my first time charting. I have read TCOYF and all the info on fertillity friend. My question is anyone want to help a first timer lol so I don't end up pregnant too early?

Haha I need a tutuor

Smylingeyz, I don't know what to tell you. Hope the symptoms are all in your head. They could be anything this early in your LP.

momtokimari - It doesn't seem to me that you've O'd yet...find your thermometer or get a new one and you still might be able to see it when it happens.

Welcome! We will all help you. Just let us know when you have questions. And having a chart online so we can see it can help if you need opinions.

I've been ordering vitamins, lots of vitamins. Was it AnnieA that recommended Rainbow Light? I ordered their complete prenatal vitamin system off of Amazon then went ahead and ordered more Nordic Naturals Omega-3 vitamins, a multivitamin for DS from Source Naturals, a chewable Vitamin D supplement for DS, and a 1000IU Vitamin D supplement for me. Lots of vitamins.

Oh, and check out this page on Vitamin D --> http://www.grassrootshealth.net/

My acupuncturist in Hawaii recommended Rainbow Light. I meant to mention that here but forgot. I can't take them because they make me nauseous. I even tried their new once daily vitamins and only take half the dose of the 6 a day vitamins. It didn't matter. I still got sick. I finally found a prenatal multivitamin that doesn't make me sick but it's not natural. I'll have to check the vitamin D levels in it. It has 1 mg of folic acid, which I need for my MTHFR double mutation, instead of the normal 800 mcg. I still need to take extra folic acid on top of that, though. It also has omega-3s and 6s. I need to call my doc to get my D levels checked.
